‘JXKE’, real name Jake Hynes is an International DJ/Producer from Cavan, Ireland. 

From a young age Jake started Dj’ing using his uncles mk3 technics in the attic of his grandmothers house in Cavan. Mixing songs from the mid 90’s and early 2000’s, beginning his passion and love for music. 

Jake’s music was influenced by his love for many different genre’s. When asked what his favourite genre of music was, he replied ‘I don’t have one’. He went on to further say ‘sometimes i like to kick back and listen to the blues, other times i listen to Hip-Hop, Rock, Reggae, i like all types of music and i try to incorporate this into my production’s. May it be Hip-Hop drum influences, rock guitar licks or the percussion of reggae, all aspects of music has unique sounds that inspire me’. 

Jake learned his craft by studying Music Production and Music Technology within Ireland and Scotland. Earning two degree’s along the way. Throughout these years Jake worked as a Live Sound Engineer in ‘The Spirit Store’, Dundalk, Ireland. Where he worked with bands such as ‘The Coronas’ and ‘The Villagers’. In 2018 he moved to Toronto, Canada to further his knowledge within the industry by working as a live sound engineer and DJ’ing for a venue called ‘The Hideout on College Street’. 

When Jake returned to Ireland he had more experience, knowledge and drive for the creation of his music. Which led him to release singles such as ‘Damhsa’, ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ and ‘Good For Nothing’. These singles received huge support on social media and also gaining airtime on Ireland’s popular radio station’s ‘iRadio and Spin1038’ by DJ’s ‘Marty Guilfoyle’ and ‘Dave Duke’. 

This is only the beginning for this young producer and the future is most certainly bright.

Supporting acts such Eats Everything, Sam Divine, Route 94, Danny Howard, Robbie G, , Agnelli & Nelson,  & many more.  He also holds a residency in Escape Belfast.

Jay has over 8 Million plays on all platforms and is eager to get his name into the music industry currently working on his producing. 2022 is going to be a very big year for him with lots in the pipeline.
