February 13, 2023 - Electronic music producers Dawn Razor and Vsebe have released a joint Elektrichestvo EP on Samovar Records. Both artists are also new residents of the label.

Dawn Razor is the project of musician Ruslan Fomichev, who has released over 50 successful vinyl and digital releases, including on the R&S, ARTS, Holding Hands, FLASH, Credo and many other labels. Ruslan's tracks have been heard in sets by Chris Liebing, Scuba, Rødhad, Marco Bailey, Pan-Pot, Answer Code Request, in podcasts for Mixmag, Slam Radio, Rinse FM, HÖR Berlin, Boiler Room, and have often been in the top 100 Beatport. Lately Ruslan switched from straight techno beats to broken beats, which can be also seen on his recent releases on XLR8R+ and Scuffed. 

Behind the project Vsebe is young producer Artem Devin. Dark electro with a techno character, looped and disturbing vocal samples - Vsebe sound is steadily gaining fame on the local scene.

The Elektrichestvo EP sees the two musicians searching for common ground - and finding it in 6 tracks, 2 of which are remixes of each other. The producers put the emphasis on confusing rhythmic structures and dystopian, in some places extremely electrifying vibe.

Slum Dunk is a musical collective made up of Brazilian artists residing in London. At the core of Slum Dunk is the electronic duo Tetine, made up of Eliete Mejorado and Bruno Verner, who have compiled this album.

Funk Carioca represents the old Brazilian Baile Funk sound which is - in our opinion - some of the best funk music.

Originally released as a mix on in 2004, we re-released this as an unmixed version on Mr Bongo Bass as it is in our opinion even more potent today.
