We hope you’ll enjoy our new version of “Vanishing Point” that Matt composed for me after I suffered from a stroke a year ago.
Later he asked me to get back to this project when I am recovered and strong enough.

John’s description:
Unintentionally Matt gave this piece the title which described very well how I felt laying in the hospital: in a way I was dropped back to “zero” (almost like looking at the tiny light at the end of the tunnel) en got to learn everything all over again. So, I had to completely reverse this “Vanishing Point” to rehabilitate. 
It was Matt’s wish that his song would bring me some relaxation and help me with my recovery, and IT DID. Also after reading those many responses and support from our listeners and friends at that difficult period, I was very happy when Matt suggested me to do this beauty all over again.
After working together so tightly for more then three years by now, Matt and I understand each other so well; we know what we want a piece to sound like, we do not need to explain much to each other. 
For some reason everything always falls in it’s place, which makes working on each others music so natural for us both.
As many people already commented, we are a good team like real friends or “Brothers in Arms”.
Proof for that to me is this beautiful piece. Matt knew by heart exactly what I needed, and it also made me feel his support and care for me and my family, and his hope for my quick recovery.

So what Matt meant for me at first, we both hope now to spread this strength and support towards everybody who needs to recover from whatever they suffered from, because this strength is within us all.

Life is like Water

Welcome to my version of an Irish / Celtic traditional called “Irish Lullaby”.

When I first heard a short version of this song done by my friend Alan Johnson, I immediately wanted to re-arrange it and make it longer, it was Alan’s idea to do the melody with flutes, and I loved it so much.
Then I started to make it longer, and re-arrange it, and played all the instruments all over again.
As I am not really a flute player, I did it with a keyboard, and then used all my tools to create the best sounding flute and tried to maintain the same feel the song had for me.

This song touched me so deeply when I heard it the first time, and as usual I started hearing a complete orchestra playing along with the flute, and Matt Baker and I will revisit and do it all over again, and make it even longer.
I hope this piece will touch you just as much as it did to me, and you’ll experience some comfort and peace of mind as it does to me too while I was making it.
I know many people love it so much, as they shared their opinions with me when they heard me working on it, so that’s the reason why I want to share it with you too.

As this is a traditional, I couldn’t find a name of the composer on the net, I hope you’ll enjoy it.

This song is about a loving but serious dialogue between mother and daughter - questions from a daughter to her mother and the loving wise response of the mother to her daughter. It is a tribute to the true mother who knows to empower her daughter and it is a dedicated to my mother with my deepest gratitude, love and respect. This is not an usual conversation between mother and daughter I have been told, yet I have had such conversations with my own mother and one I would have loved to have if I had a daughter. I have  these conversations with my only autistic son. Once in a while, it is important to have these conversations. Who else can guide a child through the alleyways of life but a true and strong mother with experience and wisdom? Yes.
