🎧🔥 not 1 but 3 hours of a special recording from @altinbas b2b myself, that took place this summer at Stone Techno festival (@thethirdroom_t3r) at the @fusebrussels stage take over. 
This set was such a special one to us both, Stone Techno took place near Essen in Germany in a beautiful Unesco site. 
On top of the decors being so breathtaking the energy of the crowd was totally unmatched!

Ocean Dawn b2b Tim Reaper On NTS Radio - 23rd October 2024

We are finally walking out of the gloom and doom of January with Spring firmly in view. To give us that extra jolt and wipe off them cobwebs we have reached out to drum & bass and jungle master Tim Reaper to put a shock to our system.
Tim is without doubt one of the striving forces in pushing a new wave of drum & bass and jungle in London and beyond. Alongside other names like Sully, Kloke, Stones Taro and Coco Bryce, Tim has brought a old school sound to an entirely new generation - sounds similar to alumni like Source Direct & Commix but with a new twist. With closing out 2024 with his new album "In Full Effect" with Australian producer Kloke on Hyperdub to much critical acclaim, the name Tim Reaper has never been bigger! So with that being said we are very honoured to have him join us for our series. For Tim's mix he takes us on an hour and half deep dive that he describes as the more chilled side to D&B and Jungle - but don't be fooled this mix definitely has a bit of power behind it. We had a brief chat with Tim about the mix and what hes gotta coming up this year.

As the launch of my new record label looms and many things to celebrate in the meantime - including my upcoming gig with the Donny Sub Basics next week for Modern Hypnosis's final dance for a while!

I have been a busy boy the last few months, after the success of the first one - I decided to record Pugcast Vol 2 with 21 brand spanking new tracks, made over the last few months, there is one vinyl only release track and an older ambient joint I made 5 years ago to pad the mix out but it's mostly brand new weaponry. Mostly solo productions, some remixes and some collaborations.

The mix is rough and ready and not overly planned with a few mistakes (I didn't want to overthink it), I am quite happy with how this one came together.

Sully has been totally locked in as of late with a steady stream of 12”s landing over the past year, and now with a mix for Bleep he’s showing off what’s up next. Amidst a handful of unreleased and forthcoming cuts from Sully and friends are cymbal hits barking in between gnashing, brawling breakbeats, fearsome bass wobbles, and engine revving purrs. Soulful, melismatic synthpop enters on Kid Lib’s ‘Jungle Days And Nights’, fractured into Tim Reaper’s jungle euphoria, leading to D*Minds & Bladerunner dropping heavy depth charges, Arcane stretching vocal clips in a drilling breakbeat collage, and Objekt’s murky tension on ‘Bad Apples’ with a molten jagged bassline, industrial whirring, and the pitch dial gone wild.

Darwin operates in the realm of low-end frequencies, delivering a tripped-out, sub-rattling blend of styles firmly rooted in soundsystem culture.

Her sets move with swampy intensity and hypnotic flow, drawing dancers in while maintaining a quiet versatility. A seasoned crate digger across many genres, she’s as comfortable playing back-to-back with DJ Storm, Mala or Lena Willikens as she is closing out Bassiani or Berghain’s Klubnacht.

Born in Canada, Darwin found her way into dance music after moving to London—first working at fabric in the mid-2000s, then experiencing a bass eureka moment years later at a Swamp81 party. That defining night set the course for her next chapter in Berlin, where she founded her label SPE:C in 2015 to spotlight emerging global talents like Decka, Carré, Axle, Beatrice M., and Tano.
In 2016, she launched REEF at the now-defunct Griessmuehle, a club where she had started a monthly techno-focused DJ residency 2 years earlier that helped develop her signature stripped back, sci-fi-infused sound. The boundary-pushing party brought bass music’s alien energy into the heart of the techno capital, which now calls Berghain home. 

2024 marked a new chapter in Darwin’s evolution with the launch of ABYSS, a Sunday evening soundsystem series centered on the restorative power of low-end frequencies. Blending transcendental dance music with breathwork, meditation and healing practices, the event creates a space where sound connects body and mind. ABYSS has also teamed up with Wuppertal’s acclaimed Open Ground club for an extended weekend takeover, with plans to expand the concept to other cities in the future.
