Quite a story with all the recordings- and material. You def. did succeed wonderfully. I love that tight bass and the tape echo machine, very cool sounds.

A sultry, gravelly female vocal would set this off really nice I think. Wonderful tribute to the original though.

A cross between Ray and Iron Butterfly ...Nice.

Prog/Art Rock

This song is a tribute to Ray Manzarek. It starts out as a cover of Riders on the Storm.  John and I recorded all the parts one at a time in his attic where we have a music recording set-up.  The track opens with sounds of a storm which John recorded by putting a portable, hand-held recorder in the mail box.  The bass line enters, and it is a sample of Ray playing the Bass Rhodes on the album version of Riders.  At minute 3:20, there is a storm section that we made using 5 or 6 tracks worth of storm recordings that we have gathered using various recording techniques along with several tracks of synthesizer storm sounds that we programmed ourselves.  You will hear samples of Ray's voice that we have gleamed from some interviews he did as the second half of the song begins.  It's supposed to be much more trippy, like a taking a ride on the back of the snake.  Some of the organ parts we recorded through this very cool tape echo machine which John worked the nobs of, on the fly.

Riders on the Storm (A tribute to Ray Manzarek)

This track developed from a somewhat spontaneous jam. Jeff and I recorded the organ/keys and guitar live. We then laid the drums and bass over that recording. We hope that this recording captures some of that "live" feel, as we did minimal editing and overdubbing. Enjoy : )

Chapter 4 of the story..

The next day. The boy ran to look for the old man and told him what happened ...
The boy saw the old man walking away with his stick in one hand and bag in another 
He ran quickly and told the old man what he saw 
The old man stopped and listened to the boy
He smiled and said : r u sure , i hve not seen any whales around here . U must be dreaming . A Black whale ? Haaa ... 
The little boy asked the old man to stay for one more night and he will go to the lighthouse together . 
The old man agreed.
As night came, the boy walked to the lighthouse with the old man slowly . It was a beautiful night with the waves softly crashing on the rocks
They talked and waited til midnight when they saw something in a distance . It seems big and it was coming closer to them 
The boy was excited - THERE IT IS! I told u ! 
He pointed to the shadow in the water and shouted . But just as he shouted , the shadow swam away ...
They called out for the shadow but it didnt stop
Til the old man called out his friends name...
Henry ! Henry ! He shouted again and again 
The black shadow jumped up in the air and made a splash ! It heard the old man cries . 
It was the whale which the boy said he saw,  and it swam back to them . It jumped again as it was near and its eyes caught the old man"s ... 
" it is henry" the old man said as tears started rolling down his cheeks ...
The whale came as close to the rocks as he can , and they both can see the black creature... It looked angry and they could see a cut on his back ..it was bleeding .. 
The old man and the boy wanted to help .. But how can they? 
The boy ran back to town and seek help from anyone... 
The old man spoke.. Ive been here for the longest time waiting , u never came... U never did.. I was here every night ... U didnt give me a chance to say ... Pls give me a chance to help u now , wait with me and we get help ...
The little boy ran as fast as he could and he woke his parents up . They called for a friend , a vet to help .. They drove fast to the lighthouse and saw the whale . They got on a small boat and paddle towards the whale ... 
The whale was badly hurt .  part of a fishing spear still in his body ... he was probably wounded by some whalers ... 
They tried to stop the blood but it kept flowing ... 
The old man kept tearing , and he kept saying sorry 
The whale seemed to know what he was saying ... 
"Henry" struggled and swam away slowly as he knew nothing can be done... 
he gave a final look as if he was saying goodbye, and then he disappeared under the waters ...
The old man whispered ..pls forgive me my old friend ad they turned and paddle bck ..

Eclosion is a Philadelphia based Progressive Rock band started by "John Hamlet's Neon Amp"  in 2005. "John" has been playing guitar more than 20 years and keyboards for almost 10. Eclosion had remained a studio project until 2009. Soon after, Jeff Peiffer (aka Dr. Bangs) joined Eclosion adding unique sounds and textures on the keys and very broad range of styles ranging from Jazz to Ambient. Eclosion's mission is to make truly unique and interesting music that always conveys an important message or creates a specific mood or atmosphere for the listener. Perhaps one of the most unique aspects of Eclosion, besides the lyrics, are the rich and spacious sounds that are created on the synthesizer and guitar.
