‘Garden of Bone’ is my take on Botanica, a style of music which is defined (to me) by its plasticity and perpetual transmutation. At least once a day throughout the month of may (2025) I sat down to inject this song with my feelings, told through moments of sound, with the hopes of painting a particular passage of time, or even time itself. Over 200 unique samples live, die and skitter throughout this mutant child of texture, rhythm, nature and synthesis. The lyrics, sparse and spectral, are as follows:
