The Grenaways could be said to be mining the rich veins of inspirational ore that course through their home turf, adding a sense of their own ties to the region and especially it’s Celtic heritage. But, they are a band set for far wider horizons than just Cornwall with a massive and alternative sound billowing through their musical sails…

Emét (Emmét McGonagle) is an indie-folk musician hailing from the North of Ireland and based in Calgary, Alberta. With influences ranging from Leonard Cohen and Hozier to Phoebe Bridgers, the Derry native released their musical debut “JJ Johnston” in the depths of the coronavirus pandemic.

Follow-up singles “I Am a Bomb Technician (If You See Me Running Try to Keep Up)” and “Thran” would later be released as part of Emét’s debut EP Cheers & All the Best, the title track of which was hailed by KEXP’s Kennady Quille as “fabulous”. With support from a 13-minute short film comprising all four tracks on Cheers & All the Best, the EP was described by Chordblossom as “certainly something to write home about”.

Since the EP’s release in March 2021, Emét has moved to Calgary Alberta where they released “Hate To See It” - the first song to be released from their debut album Carlin’s Farm. Detailing the daily routine of a keyboard warrior, the single gained attention from Irish News and Out Magazine, with Pride Media Inc CEO and editorial director Diane Anderson-Minshall hailing Emét as a "bourgeoning LGBTQ star".

Carlin’s Farm (set for release on April 8th, 2022 with distribution by AntiFragile Music) was recorded in Belfast’s Half Bap Recording Studios by No Oil Paintings percussionist George Sloan, with accompaniment from Buí bassist Rónán McQuillan.

Native to the rugged landscapes of Cornwall in the United Kingdom, Liam Jordan is an alt-rock artist who began his musical journey at a young age in school bands and later went solo, penning some of his first original material. After many years of playing regular venue residencies and in folk clubs around the UK, Jordan set out to work on his first major release and self-titled debut album. 

The release of the record in 2018 saw it's lead single ' Tap at My Window' get featured in Richer Unsigned's 'Best of 2018' playlist in association with Q Magazine. Shortly after playing Manchester Folk Festival, Jordan joined a roster of great Americana and folk artists, including Stephen Fearing (Blackie & The Rodeo Kings), Kyshona Armstrong and Lynn Hansen, with independant label Fish Records. 

 Fusing folk, country, gospel, rock with strong subject matter and powerful and emotive production, the album nods a respectful head to songwriting greats such as Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young.
