This song started off many years ago with a band called "Latella".  Vocalist Joe Flesch wrote the lyrics and bassist/guitarist/songwriter Matty Harper wrote the original guitar parts under the lyrics.  When I joined the band, I added the Em-C section in the middle and a second acoustic part to compliment Matt's original guitar line under the lyrics.  Both acoustic parts have now been combined into one in this adaptation.  The Em-C section in the middle went through a few transitions and at one time had an extended David Gilmore style guitar solo that was really cool, and one of the reasons I wanted to remake this song.  When recording this remake, I decided to add just a little something more to that middle section.  This took on a life of its  own and the guitar solo just didn't seem to work anymore so I took in another direction.
Vocalist,  Joe Flesch, has since left the world of rock, has been born again, and is now a minister.  He occasionally picks up his acoustic and sings for his church.  Matty Harper left music behind as well for a while, but that was just to smoke shit load of pot.  He still has some serious bass chops though and he will soon be featured in some upcoming tracks.  I have another track posted here called "We are" in which you can hear Matt's bass chops from years ago.

Independent artist making songs that rock.

I don’t know about you but I miss hearing songs that just rock.  A couple of guitars, bass, drums, vocals, and harmonies make such a powerful combination.  It’s this power and energy that I’m after in the songs I record.
I perform all parts on these recordings unless otherwise specified. I’m primarily a guitar player and never considered myself a singer but I started doing it to complete my songs and I may be finding a voice for myself.
I’m open to collaboration so reach out if you’d like to work on some tracks.  I don’t have any rap on my tracks, don’t listen to much rap, but I have a couple of incomplete songs I’m interested in brining some rap into.  So let me know if any of you rappers want to collaborate with a rocker.
Recording, mixing, mastering is just as much of a hobby as playing the music is.  If you’d like another ear on your mix or some mastering done, drop me a message.  I’m not looking for money for it, just the opportunity to practice my skills on other artists work, see what I can do, and help a fellow musician.
