I am looking for songwriters and producers to help me bring my sound to life. Here is a description of the music I am looking to create - 
Barely relevant yet easily digestible. Ear-worm catchy and fits within the sphere of top-of-the-charts pop, yet is rule-breaking and trend-setting. (What?! How?!)

Let me explain. 

Similar to the diversity found on Ed Sheeran's latest album, (examples: Nancy Mulligan, Dive, Shape of You- what? what genres are these? BUT THEY WORK- why? My opinion: they're authentically Ed Sheeran. They're part of his story and his influences and they're HIS STYLE.) my style is also not just one sound or genre--I am heavily influenced and deeply moved by an array of eclectic sounds & concepts. 

These are the production and songwriting elements that are important to the Jenn sound:

- Catchy hooks
- Interesting vocal rhythms yet catchy melodies. My songs are meant to be SUNG.
- Honest lyrics
- Interesting, dark and emotional piano styling & playing ((influenced by my classical background and training)) 
- Strong vocal presence -- my voice is my most powerful/important instrument
THEN- 
- I draw inspiration from//my soul is moved by: 
- Juicy hip/hop & r&b beats
- Stacked vocals-- both choral AND r&b style
- Raw, indie rock & roll. I love the low-fi yet classy grungeyness of it all.

Adele - 21 
HELLO organic , yet interesting production with the vocal being the main point of the tracks, laced with honest and haunting and emotional lyrics & vocal delivery. GIRL MEANS WHAT SHE SAYS & SINGS.
Nothing But Thieves - Nothing But Thieves
Helllllo perfect balance of rock, laced with beautiful melodies, range of vocal texture, organic instruments with modern production twists, songwriting that is catchy yet rule-breaking/bending including interesting rhythm changes. The sound is very PRESENT // heavy (rock) YET, the lyrics and vocals are beautiful and magic & delicate yet expressive? LOVE THIS JUXTAPOSITION 
Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand 
YEAH, the whole album is just great. Kind lo-fi grungy with incredible melodies.
Bat for Lashes - the track "Laura". 
The chords are haunting!!! So dark and beautiful! And the lyrics and production are simple and beautiful and let the voice shiiiine.
Nils Frahm: I dare you to listen to "some" and NOT feel your heart strings being tugged. (Also, the "rugged" sound of the piano? YES. You can hear the nuances!!!)
Florence + the Machine-- Ceremonials. I was obsessed with this album when it first came out & listened to it non-stop for possibly months? I love that every time I would listen to it, I would discover something new. There are so many different sounds and colors and textures happening here, the production is VERY FULL- yet, it never clashes. It's never "too much". Somehow, it allll works. Also, it's dark and haunting and powerful. Her voice is interesting. The Lyrics are intersting. The album takes you on this journey-- each song is a masterpiece. The sound is organic yet contemporary. AND YES- one of my fave albums of all-time...

These are here to give you a sample of the elements I am looking for in order to create a cohesive body of work (e.g. album). Naturally, not every track will have ALL of these elements--- but these are the elements to draw from before we draw from... say.... 80's synths.
