Brooke Pennock gained recognition in the Seattle folk rock scene in 2004 with her multi-award winning song, "Eddie." The song was featured on KZOK/KMPS-FM Radio's compilation CD as the #1 winner of their songwriting contest. It was distributed widely in a "Save The Music" campaign throughout the Pacific Northwest.  Brooke has also won the "Made in Washington's Best Emerging Artist Award" the "West Coast Songwriters Award" and was a Billboard  "Songwriters Finalist" and Lilith Fair/Levi's "Top 10 Emerging Artist Finalist."  Her songs have received airplay on both regional and national radio, including charting at #3 on Sirius Satellite Radio.   Several songs from Brooke Pennock's extensive catalogue were also used on the soundtrack of the independent film "Poppies" (www.poppiesthemovie.com) The movie has won numerous awards and been featured at many International Film Festivals. 
Lifelong friend Wendy McDowell, born on the Spacecoast of Florida, has been singing, drumming, playing bass and penning award winning songs for over 20 years. Her 1990's band "Tin Angel" was featured on college radio stations throughout the Southeast and East Coast. She has toured, played with and opened for a multitude of artists: Diane Ward (Miami New Times multiple "Best Female Artist" award) Sister Hazel (Grammy Award nominees and multi chart topping Billboard artists); Kristen Hall (Sugarland); Joan Osborne; My Friend Steve; Ani DiFranco; Bitch and Animal; Terri Binion, Michelle Malone, Melissa Ferrick and more. 
 "No Goin Back, The Heater Must Be Broke, and I Am Cured" were all produced by Ryan Hadlock (The Strokes, The Lumineers, Metric, Afghan Whigs, Johnny Flynn) and recorded at legendary Bear Creek  Studios (http://www.transgressiverecords.co.uk/ryanhadlock)  (www.bearcreekstudios.com)  "No Goin' Back and The Heater Must Be Broke" layer picturesque vocal harmonies with a butt shakin'  rhythm section. Featuring standout tracks, these CDs continue to compete on the world level of song crafting.  "Shine" won a top 20 spot in a national Dodge commercial songwriters contest.  The newest release "I Am Cured" is an intimate collection of originals and covers showcasing the duo's rich harmonies and acoustic roots.
