I love what I'm doing and I'll continue to create music to the best of my ability, improving and evolving as an artist. But as for any other person in creative industry, it's hard for me to keep a steady income from other sources, because most of my time and energy goes into composing and producing. ⠀SmallBrain Records is a record label started in 1993 in Traverse City, Michigan by Jim Ryan and Sheamas O'Donnel (of the infamous group Joey). At that point in time everything was released on cassettes and reels. Over the years it has taken roots in the Detroit area, bringing together Detroit electronic music with free jazz. Its goal has always been to connect with as many like-minded artists, and to collaborate on video, and sound projects. In 2016, the label was revived by Thomas Ryan, with hopes of bringing it back to mainstream attention, and to seek out talent that deserves to be shown.The vision of Smallbrain records is to search out unique art and allow it to flourish in a community that is creative, and supportive.

Distyle ‘s composing electronic music and try to transpose Art of sound design to his production by exploring all technologies that could recreate the smell of the soul. 
Due to his main activity of audio engineering , he collaborated with many musicians from different cultural backgrounds to bring an organic touch to his machines’s manipulations.
His creations try push the boundaries but never erase them to preserve the wealth of each
The compositions are both present and timeless, one might even say «universal». 
This sound expression intend to bring us beyond ourselves and beyond our mind. A music aiming at finding yourself through a maze of sounds produced by an 'effect factory' .... One could sometimes hear an Hitchcock's soundtrack  ... then you find yourself in an island in the middle of primitive tribes then hand in space weightlessness, lulled by this gentleness flirting with the Nirvana ... 
Each piece is a teleportation from one state to another, sometimes we do not know what to feel then you can navigate from life to death, friendship to love, dream to reality ...
