With a #1 Hype Machine record under his belt, San Francisco's Lane 8 has been a star of the 2013 underground with support from Majestic Casual, BBC Radio 1's B.Traits and tastemakers across the board. 

Off the back of a release on French Express and "Be Mine", one of the many highlights on #1 iTunes Dance album "Anjunadeep 05", Lane 8 aka Daniel Goldstein returns to the label with two classy deep grooves that merge his unique melodic textures with a new vocal leaning.

Sounding like a cross between Tale Of Us, French Express and Cyril Hahn, lead track "The One" is a slow-burning, deep melodic gem with Patrick Baker's vocals adding an extra layer of catchiness. With early support coming from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 and The Magician on his infamous Magic Tape series, "The One" already looks like a future Lane 8 classic.

Showcasing Daniel's versatility, the more indie-pop flavoured "Nothing You Can Say" features the wistful, uplifting vocals of hotly tipped songstress Lucy Stone alongside a melodic, summery electronic dance backing. 

After the success of Sonnentanz, one of 2013's biggest dance tracks, Klangkarussell turn in a monster of a remix of "The One". Having built up a reputation for delicate feel-good melodies, they showcase a much darker side on this one, with a no nonsense beast full of raw bass and distorted vocals.

One of our good buddies to the label, Leicester and UK bound Zuubi returns to the label with more musical madness as he brings on another fine EP together with us. This time he’s included a 3 track EP on our roster that once more show his immense talent for this genre. If you’re up for sun-drenched melodies that evolves throughout the tracks, well, your search is over as he brings on not 1, not 2, but 3 heavy acts of summer styled progressive, just the way we love it here on PHW!

The opener and the title track “Blue Planet” is fair to say a catchy ride, filled with blissful melodic arrangements, super tight vocal additions and everything in between. As always he uses great effects to keep the interest in this production and we are certain this will go warm all over your place.

The 2nd act, baptized as “Sunkissed Beach” is another melodic journey, a bit more upbeat. This one will also hook you, as he once more builds some superb melodic hooks, that will get your feet to twist and turn no matter what you say. This is progressive summer vibes at its very best, and we are so happy to have it for you.

The last outcome on the release is another gorgeous uplifting summer track from the über talented producer. “Wait For You”, as this bad boy is called is another melody driven production, filled with all the great and emotional textures this Leicester bound producer has to offer to all us progressive fans, worldwide. It’s a true pleasure having him as one of the closest in our PHW family, and this is the result why we want to help him spread the name of Zuubi, progressive love is on it’s way!

“Since the very beginnings of our existence we have filled our tribal or religious rituals with music; rituals to bond, to connect spiritually or just to let loose. I have no idea why we are so drawn to the120-126 BPM four-to-the-floor. All I know is that House is the soundtrack to our modern day biggest ritual and I love being part of that. My aim is to create an energy on the dancefloor and, for me, it’s not about working strictly within the limit of a genre. It’s about sharing the same taste and this exceeds genres. I found my inspiration for ‘The Gift’ when I stumbled upon a video of a preacher on the internet, preaching that music is a gift of God and that, when we listen to music, we open up to the message of the lyrics.”

Above & Beyond have announced Andrew Bayer as opener for their upcoming Group Therapy shows at Shrine in Los Angeles and Warfield in San Francisco.  Here is a taste of what to expect, his live set from the recent Group Therapy event at Miami's stunning Bayfront Amphitheatre.
 
With 6 of his productions featuring on the recent Anjunadeep 04 compilation, the Washington-raised producer is one of the most prolific and eclectic producers in today's scene, with recent EPs and singles covering everything from deep house and downtempo electronica, to progressive and deep trance. A perfect snapshot of his eclectic experimentation, Bayer's debut album "It's Artificial" was released last summer and described by Mixmag as "an incredible album of sophisticated electronica". A second entirely downtempo album is planned for fall 2012.
 
After 10,000 #GroupTherapyLA tickets sold in under two hours and San Francisco's Warfield venue sold out in a record 12 minutes, 'Above & Beyond's Group Therapy shows rank among California's most hotly anticipated events this summer. To satisfy demand, additional dates have now been added at Shrine LA on Thursday May 17th and at Warfield in San Francisco on Thursday June 21.
