Edge of Ruin is an Erie metal band that was formed in the summer of 2010. The band was formed when guitarist Barry Eakin and drummer Ed Martin began talking about starting a new band. The two began writing songs together in Barry's garage and soon after Jess King joined the band. A few songs and weeks later Tony Lombardo joined up and the four decided it was time for the band to get serious and ...more professional, that's when they discovered bassist Kevin Franz.

Each member of Edge of Ruin adds their own specific element to the music that they write and play.


The band can be found almost every weekend playing show or at their practice spot, constantly working on new material and getting better. They released their first full-length album titled "Our Dying World" on May 21st 2011.

The band can be classified as "metalcore", but they like to think of themselves as a metal core band that thinks outside the box and try not to limit themselves to a specific genre of metal.
