After landing support from Spotify’s Noteable, Mahogany and BBC Introducing in 2022 - Jonny Morgan returns with an upbeat indie rock single ‘City Lights’ to kick off 2023.

After a few festive months of personal turbulence, Jonny returns with an autobiographical heartache song diving into the difficulties of distance in relationships. This song was co-written with Nashville based artist Scott Mulvahill on a Buddy Holly songwriting retreat in Lubbock, Texas. The single features plenty of warm ambience provided by co-producer Matt J. Fury ’s excellent execution on a Juno-60 -  a sound often found on tracks from Morgan’s current influences, The War On Drugs and John Mayer’s ‘Last Train Home’.
