Foremost international techno outlet Drumcode is delighted to announce the release of its next full-length album, ‘Satellite’, by enduring Italian techno talent Sam Paganini.

Though he has been active since the mid nineties, recent years have been hugely successful for Sam, with searing techno EPs coming on revered labels such as Riche Hawtin’s Plus8, Sven Vath’s Cocoon and of course, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. In his time he has been responsible for underground hits like ‘Zoe’, ‘Polyester’ and ‘Fire In My Arms’, all of which demonstrate his dynamic understanding of sexy, dark and hypnotic techno grooves and at the same time have earned him plenty of great Beatport chart positions as well as respect from the best in the game.

Incredibly, ‘Satellite’ is Sam’s first full-length album. Informed by his DJ gigs at legendary places like Berghain in Berlin and Cielo in New York, the album starts with a dystopian bit of sonic scene setting, as if a space ship is charging up ready to take off.

From there it’s a case of getting straight down to business. ‘Another Chance’ is a spacey bit of cantering techno and ‘White’ is rooted in devastating kick drums and is riddled with serrated synth lines that build lots of great techno pressure. ‘Down’ is an undulating bit of funky techno complete with choice vocal flourishes and tracks like ‘Lotus’ are prime offerings from the deeper end of the scale.

No two tracks sound the same on Satellite: Sam is always teasing out a new bit of texture, nailing a slightly different vibe or exploring different amounts of light and dark throughout the course of this most excellent album. This is evidenced by diverse cuts like ‘Dusty’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Rave’.

Despite ‘Satellite’ being Sam’s debut album, it showcases his seductive style in all its glory across 12 fantastic tracks that will leave you begging for more.

This was my 3rd year at Burning Man, and hands down my favorite year to date. Playing the Robot Heart bus is a spiritual experience, and I really tried to make my musical selection this year tell a story and inspire people. I'd like to  thank my BM crew this year - The Castillos, Berge, and Eduardo - for being so positive and loving. Extra special thanks goes out to Benjamin, Swamy, and Dill for having me at Robot Heart again this year, and creating the best possible platform to share music on the Playa! After a long time of DJing and partying together, London based producers PJU and Earl Grey raided their collection of floppy discs full of edgy samples and put them into a dance project.

With a shared mutual passion for all things early Chicago house and JACK, they draw inspiration from the early days, when house music was raw and edgy, and bring that vibe into the present. A handful of fun packed studio sessions messing around with a Roland drum machine & a SH 101 bass box resulted in 'Call Me Up', a monster house club track with a clear mission to make you J-A-C-K !

PJU is the project of Punks Jump Up with former releases on Kitsune. Earl Grey is the solo project of Danny Ashenden, who is otherwise known as one half of The C90s or one half of Say Yes to Another Excess (with Daniel Avery).

This is about the hurt you feel when you can’t connect with the person you love. 
Originally Caitlin sang this song to a different backing track. I loved the words and the way she sang it, but didn’t feel the music and vocals were the perfect match, so I started making new music around the vocals and the whole feel and melody changed completely. I had two ideas for this song. The first was a soulful vibe I came up with by playing the Rhodes and the other was quite different, with the old-school low-fi arp running. So rather than pick one I decided to put them together and use the arp idea as a surprise element in the song. I spent a lot of time over-producing the song to make it sound under-produced. I wanted it to sound gritty and old-school which can be hard with the ‘clean’ equipment producers have today. The lyrics and feel of this song made it the perfect opener for a Noir album.

A identidade subliminar do Edit Revenge imprime essa mistura de vanguarda e hits atuais, na edição de faixas que vão do underground ao mainstream, com personalidade marcante. 

Essa mensagem sutil é perceptível em cada detalhe do projeto; nos títulos das faixas, nas diversas referências camufladas de cada composição, e em toda a comunicação audiovisual da apresentação. 

A performance em formato Live PA, de aproximadamente 1h30, faz um duelo sincronizado entre as músicas e um conteúdo de alta interatividade visual.
