The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Vera Spektor. Active since the mid 2000s, he has released material on seminal underground labels like Third Type Tapes, Ekar and Stripe999. He now returns with a new EP, La Guerra Delle Forme, on Pressured Speech Productions. In the spirit of the year that was, Spektor offers a look at the concrete settings left empty by modern life. Heavy industrial experiments gives way to surges of electronic force as the release moves through an array of blackened atmospheres and captures the struggles of our time. Today we premiere the excellent Golden Bludgeon.

“Internal Acceleration” is an experimental track where I explored new structures and techniques.
It builds around a solid bass foundation, atmospheric layers, and a gradual shift in intensity throughout the composition.

In the final section, the tempo increases smoothly from 130 to 135 BPM, creating a sense of rising motion and energy.
By the end, it returns to 130 BPM, completing the cycle.

OBSCUUR is proud to welcome back the excellent Liza Aikin, after her stellar contribution to the “Withered Tales” album. Liza returns with her own release, a take on industrial techno named “Infirm Past”.
Her signature brand of techno spans over two original tracks, a force of sound cemented by how well it blends with the remix efforts of Swarm Intelligence and VSK. This is an EP covering all grounds, from immersive techno to harder-edge dance floor percussion.
First up is “Hospital Bed”, club ready and on the harder end of the scale, it delivers increasingly frustrating emotions through percussion packed with field recordings literally from the mechanisms within hospital machines. Swarm Intelligence adds the remix favour, with a growling bassline and broken techno cuts.
“Emmaus” follows up, with a sophisticated palette of layered pounding rhythms. Glued together with a hypnotically morphing melody, VSK steps up to the plate for the remix, plastering his well-known sound all over and slowing the drums to achieve a pure meditative hallucination.
Liza Aikin consistently strives to push her sound in new directions, the known mixing with the unknown, making this EP a rewarding listening experience both at the club and at home.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Catartsis. “Lumbricina” comes off the French artist’s debut solo EP for Berlin-based imprint ygam.  On the release, Catarsis investigates various styles of dancefloor oriented music. Diverse in rhythm, the EP's four tracks agitate singular sonic particles and timbres that bear the acousmatic and electroacoustic approach of the artist. Today we present the lead track on the EP which is a powerful, textured piece which recalls everything from industrial, techno and more to create a unique sound which is built for any situation.

It’s with the same taste for adventure that RED REC does not wish to specialize on a current genre and impose its codes on the artists, but rather let each of the « resilient souls » express themselves to present the best from the spectrum of electronic music in its diversity and complexity.

FRUITS OF THE RESILIENCE is the result of spontaneous encounters, a long bond, curiosity and experiments. Passion is distilled, and the brutal force is tempered to keep the essentials. An indomitable spiritual and positive resistance in the image of what our current world must redraw. Resilience.
Each living being does its best to go forward. Giving up isn’t an option. Striving to avoid death leads to miracles. What we may consider broken, can in fact be mended and given a second life. As humans, we’re not an exception to the rule.
Like broken objects that still worked after being mended.
Everybody has suffered in the past. Many people ail while you’re reading these words. But pain is part of life. We have to get through this because it’s inescapable and it makes us involved. With time and faith, our weaknesses become our strengths. Our stigmata becomes our glory.
We are fruits of resilience made of our own failures and successes. That is what defines each of us. We are who we are and take it as a gift.
