Yurina is the producer and representative of Lily’s Shop (http://dj-yurina.tokyo), an apparel brand launched in the autumn of 2011 whose signature theme is cat-ears (“neco-mimi”). She began DJing in 2007, and currently plays at events across Japan and abroad each year, including clubs in Shibuya such as VISION and WOMB , ageHa in Shinkiba, ESPRIT in Roppongi and ELE tokyo in Azabu-juban.

In 2012 she produced and performed at her brand’s neco-mimi themed party “CatAiland” in Dubai. As a DJ she performs at around 200 events across Japan, Monaco F1 Grand Prix ,LA ,France ,Spain ,Taiwan and Vietnam abroad each year. She plays a wide range of music genres, from House to EDM and technomusic, and released her own mix CD “Naki Mix” on June 16th 2012, selling it at the largest major music stores in Japan such as Tower Records and TSUTAYA. On November 30th 2015 she also released a mix CD with complimentary cat-ear headbands at the Don Quixote store chain, which has around 300 shops across Japan.

In terms of brand production, every 3rd Friday of the month since September 2012 she hosts a CatAiland party at ageHa, and she used one collaboration event with the cosmetics brand Cosmedic AI to carry out a survey of over 1000 people, based on which she subsequently produced her first club make-up product “Cat’s Face” in partnership with Hello Kitty. After release the products were hugely popular, and currently she sells lip gloss, eye-liner and mascara at over 5000 locations across the country.

Following the sale of these products, she appeared for the first time on the advertisement boards in the trains of Tokyo’s JR Yamanote Line, and she also appears in various media forms such as magazines and free newspapers.

In December 2015 she opened up a “neco-mimi” Girls Bar in Shibuya, which offers a space filled with her trademark lifestyle points such as a DJ booth, dancing pole, Lily’s Shop costumes and of course girls with her signature cat-ear headbands.

As both a DJ and a producer, she is an incredibly enthusiastic female artist who can present a new type culture to the world, by tapping into the charisma-boosting support she has gained from all kinds of contemporary people as a symbol for strong women.
