Multi-genre Dj and novice music maker from Cardiff, Wales. My passion for music and interest in djing started around 8 yrs old after a mate had a kids twin deck system for xmas. By the time I turned 15 yrs old I had met one of the most influential people in my personal and professional life. Liam Dart (soulfuric, master builders)
Along with a pretty successful career as a mobile disco, My first residency came at 17 when i played the opening @ the philharmonic Cardiff. By this time I had been involved with hospital and local radio stations too so my experience was pretty extensive already. By 2002, I had played most of the bars and clubs in south Wales before a series of life events had meant that djing became a hobby rather than a paying job. A chance meeting in 2009 reignited the desire and opportunities. A weekly radio show on GTFM, a community station for the area, gave me an outlet to showcase mine and others work and talent. The last 5 years I’ve been actively working on my name, brand and recently started working on my own online radio station. 2025 marks 30years of djing in professional establishments. So I have plans to mark the occasion. Updates will be posted on my socials in due course.

From early days helping his father manage a karaoke and entertainment business to the Sunday rituals of drumming at his local church, music was in his blood. His initiation into electronic beats happened in the vibrant clubs of São Paulo, where the dance floor became his sanctuary.

With an energetic heart synced to the bass, Milton crafts sonic voyages that traverse deep, progressive landscapes, blending sexy melodies with rumbling basslines and a touch of psychedelia. While he's acclaimed for his dynamic Techno sets, his versatility shines in everything from groovy Downtempo to mind-bending Psytech. Drawing inspiration from Brazilian luminaries like Victor Ruiz, Alex Stein, and Gabriel Moraes, Milton finds his muse in the diverse tapestry of people and the world around him.

Australia became Milton's stage, starting in the cultural hub of Byron Bay where he transformed streets into stages and the public into his audience through busking. Immersed in the vibrant hospitality and nightlife of Byron, he honed his craft in the rainforest sanctuary. From house and boat parties to club nights and private events, Milton's journey led to his first official booking in 2019, and there's been no looking back.

Having graced stages alongside artists like Metodi Hristov, Alex Stein, and Earthogen, Milton's momentum surged. His recent milestone - a set at Earth Frequency Festival 2023 - is a testament to his unstoppable ascent. A multi-instrumentalist, Milton is now translating his skills into original productions, collaborating with Caco Law in their project Mountlaw, already boasting several released tracks. With eyes set on the Australian Festival scene, and backed by a robust fan base and the support of Round Town Promotions and Hive Bookings, Milton is poised to spread love both in the studio and on stage.

For this vibrant talent, it's all about mood and a deep, hypnotic groove - creating connections, sharing emotions, and elevating dancers. Expect the unexpected as Milton Montenegro weaves a sonic tapestry that will have you moving without realizing it.
