While Hunter Siegel has carved out space in the scene with his releases since 2013, the recent shift for the Canadian artist that embraces darker techno soundscapes as HNTR has allowed him further explore his sonic reaches. The past few years have seen him release a flurry of tracks under the alias on his imprint, No Neon - and after gaining praise from deadmau5 in 2020 it was only a matter of time before he appeared on mau5trap.

That moment arrived back in May of this year when HNTR teamed up with Elliot Moss to release "Shadows in the Dark" on the renowned label. This melodic house and techno track quickly stole the hearts of those who listened and left them craving for more from the mind of this talented producer. Now, that time has come as he's returned to mau5trap for his latest track, "Searching for Self." This time around, HNTR has looked to Tribe Alexander to provide the hypnotizing vocals as he leads listeners on a journey into the techno realm with a touch of progressive influence along the way.

"My buddy Tribe sent me about 12 vocal demos, this was the second one I listened to and I was instantly hooked by the entrancing repetition of the vocal," HNTR said about the track. "It grabbed me and spoke to me instantly, I wanted to try to use that same feeling in the production to help amplify that feeling of searching for something."

Celebrating the release of "Searching for Self," HNTR spun up a mix to celebrate the beginning of the fall season and help usher in the cooler months. This hour and a half ride is filled with a plethora of his originals and curated selections from the likes of Charles D, Pryda, Avision, Maceo Plex, Victor Ruiz, and more to further emphasize the gray skies and rainy nights ahead.

He's had numerous releases on the renowned dubstep labels such as Never Say Die, NSD: Black Label, and of course, Disciple Round Table. The producer's noteworthy projects throughout his musical journey include Dead Space, Beast, and "93 Style" with Virus Syndicate.

One of the artists in the techno scene who has continued to push boundaries and explore new reaches is Declan James. Over the years he's crafted up tasty tunes that have graced labels like Enhanced, Armada, and OHM Music, and immersive sets at festivals like EDC Las Vegas for his fans to soak in. Even though the pandemic slowed his ascension to the top he's back and better than ever this year.

Not only did Declan James just drop "New Age Psychosis" on Space Yacht Records' The Black Hole Vol. 1 earlier this month, but he'll also be returning to the neonGARDEN stage at EDC Las Vegas as well. After a stunner of a set at the festival back in 2019, techno lovers flocking to Sin City won't want to miss his performance when he opens on Sunday to help usher in the final day of beats.

While we can only imagine the madness that will ensue, Declan James spun up a mix to give everyone a taste of what's in store and hype everyone up for the weekend ahead. Originally from San Francisco but now residing in Manilla, Angelo del Carmen is an artist with a deep history in the scene that dates back to 2003. While he's released under different aliases over the years and has been affiliated with an array of different brands, more recently he's reemerged with two new aliases for dance music lovers to feast their ears on. As Luis del Carmen, he dominates speakers with the sound of techno, while under the Parnassvs moniker he energizes souls with stunning trance tunes. 

Parnassvs has become the prime focus for him as of late as he centered himself on a melodic, yet energetic, tech trance sound. This has led to releases on labels that include Techburst, Sundance, Gigas Lux, Addictive Sounds, and Serendipity Muzik, while gaining support from massive radio shows such as A State Of Trance and Transmission along the way.

This year has seen Parnassvs continue to blossom with the release of tunes such as "Night City," "Cosmic Parallels," and "Promises," with his latest release "Mistral" marking his debut on Grotesque. His newest single features a driving bassline with acid lines that will captivate any listener in a matter of moments before they're swept away to the heavens by the airy, melodic elements layered within its runtime.

After the release of "Mistral," we jumped at the chance to pick Parnassvs' brain to learn more about the story behind his tune, the duality of his trance and techno sides, and plenty more. Additionally, he spun up a mix brimming with IDs to give everyone a taste of what's to come from him in the future as well.
