My first rave ever was at Robot Heart in NY. I still remember my best friend dragging me to it not knowing what to expect but I had such an incredible experience and met a community of people that I really connected with.

Fast forward to 2022 and my third time on the playa and it's amazing to see things come full circle. I'm playing on the Robot Heart bus during this beautiful sunset and not only that but I’m in front of the Black! Asé Art installation by the Black Burner Project, a group and project that truly speaks to my soul.

I was in my zone while playing as usual so I was not able to fully process everything until a few days later but once I did it truly hit me that this was a special moment in playa history that will live on forever in my heart.

I feel blessed to have been a part of it and cannot wait to do something special again with Robot Heart and the Black Burner Project in the future.

AMÉMÉ - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2022

What happens when you go to a show for the primary lineup but discover there's a DJ you don't know in a side room and their set is totally amazing? That's how we discovered Elle Onyx. Billed alongside Dosem, Qrion, and CRi during the night out, it was painful to miss even a moment from those artists' sets, yet it was impossible not to keep grooving to Elle Onyx. There was something so fresh and fun about her style that made it impossible to pull away.

Self-described using terms like dark and dancy, Elle Onyx has taken a personal journey from California to London to Brooklyn that has informed her musical style over the years. She's likely to be found in a corner of the club talking shop, but when she's on stage, she has a powerful, strong, and stylish presence that keeps the room moving. Elle, the individual, drives that energy through a tireless curiosity about how music is created and performed. She simply cannot stop learning and is continuing to grow as she sponges up more knowledge and skills.

After being blown away by Elle Onyx's set, there was no doubt that picking her brain was something that needed to happen. Luckily, she had some time to chat with us about her recent focus on producing, her stylistic exploration, and touches on the dark disco sound she's come to embody lately. Hard to believe it’s been half a year since I uploaded my last set on Soundcloud. I’m happy to share this recording from The Bow in Buenos Aires, recorded last month. 

If you’ve been following over the years, it’s no secret that The Bow holds a special place in my heart as one of the best places in the world to play, since the Argentinians are some of the most passionate music lovers I’ve ever seen. 32 hours of travel for a 3 hour set (and 3 steaks) is well worth it, every single time.
