Dance music lovers in the Northern Hemisphere are shaking off the winter blues with the arrival of the warmer spring months and with vaccinations increasing by the day the hopes for live music this year are becoming a reality. One DJ who is ready to get back to playing shows is none other than our own Logan Garrison, aka DJ Lo_G, who has been making a name for himself in the scene up in Aspen over the past few years.

Like many other artists in the scene last year, the loss of shows stung deep for DJ Lo_G, who is a frequent face at nightclubs like Belly Up Aspen. Instead of opening for renowned artists like Chris Lake and ZHU or even traveling to festivals like Coachella and CRSSD Festival last year, he looked to digital pastures to take the stage on Twitch while hoping for a safe return for shows as well.

Now, as the future begins to look brighter and limited capacity, outdoor shows have begun to return in Aspen, so have bookings for DJ Lo_G. Earlier this month he announced his first residency of the year, teaming up with fellow artist Ryan Golbus to take the stage at the W Aspen each Friday and Saturday. While more will surely be announced as we dive deeper into 2021, he has aspirations of producing an EP, playing some shows in California, and catching up on some travel as it becomes safer to do so as well. And to celebrate, he's spun up a mix with some certifiable stunners.

For over three decades Michael (Milk) Kronenberger and Steven (Sugar) Harding have been a force to be reckoned with in the house music scene. After years of producing and playing music under other aliases, the two artists came together to form Milk & Sugar back in 1997 and the rest is history. Drawing inspiration from the discohouse movement in Spain, the two quickly went to work and created some sensational tunes like "Higher & Higher," remade disco hits such as "Love Is in the Air," and simultaneously running their label as well.

Milk & Sugar have continued to spin surreal sets and release music over the past two decades, and they arrived in the current one in style. Last year the duo teamed up with the Munich Symphony Orchestra to produce IBIZA SYMPHONICA which honored the legacy of the iconic island that's been dominated by dance music, and 2021 has brought even more from them as well. Milk & Sugar kicked off 2021 by looking to Qubiko to remix their track "You Can't Hide From Yourself" while Brokenears took the reins and remixed "House Dimension" as well.

Keeping everyone grooving to the beat the duo also returned to their own imprint for the release of "All I Need (Is Believe)" in March while offering up a sampling of sounds on their Miami Sessions 2021 mix to further showcase the power of house music. Now, as they set their sights on the release of Purple Disco Machine's remix of Ibiza anthem "Let The Sun Shine" on April 23, they've turned the dial up a notch with a mix to feast your ears on.

The spring months are here and with them comes warmer weather and plenty of outdoor action for those who have been cooped up over the past few months. Paired with the higher temperatures and sunny days are increased vaccination rates that further propelled the positive vibes for the future as many house music lovers begin to make their way back to the dancefloor. But if you felt you lost your groove over the past year of no shows, have no fear because @Casmalia will get you dancing again.

This San Diego-based DJ and producer has been on quite a rise in the scene over the past few years. In fact, Casmalia was intent on not letting the doom and gloom of 2020 get her down as she delivered a number of sensational releases on labels like House of Hustle, Box of Cats, Insomniac Records, and mau5trap, to name a few. And this year she's only further proven her prowess in the studio with tracks like "Worth It" on Space Yacht's Tech My House Vol. 1 and "Talk To Me" on IN / ROTATION's Rotate Vol. 5 among a flurry of other originals and remixes.

As shows begin to return to the forefront of everyone's mind, Casmalia is ready to showcase her skills behind the decks at some of the scene's most beloved nightclubs and festivals. Having kept her talents honed with recent appearances at venues like The Midway SF, we can only expect some greatness during her sets in the near future as she teased that live performances are in the works. But until then, she's spun up a mix filled with a ton of IDs that will have anyone busting a move and craving more. Give it a spin, you won't regret it!

As house music continues to thrive around the world, artists have let their creativity flow and are making an impact with some sensational releases to further propel the genre forward. And if you're someone who loves fresh beats and a deeper dive into the house realm then there's no doubt that rising stars like Elliot Fitch are the ones you should be paying attention to.

Elliot Fitch has already begun to cause quite a stir in the scene with releases like "Feels Good" with Marc Volt on Club Sweat and two collaborations with Husko, "Desert Sun" and "Baby," which landed on Glasgow Underground and Toolroom. Those releases in 2019 and 2020 set the stage for what was to come in 2021, and the Dutch newcomer impressed already with "The One" in March.

Now, as the warmer temperatures lead to lifted spirits, Elliot Fitch has delivered another fresh single for house lovers to feast their ears on. Out now on Make Em Move, "Lift Me Up" isn't just a solid house heater but also marks the first signing of a solo producer who isn't the imprint's founder, Kideko. This tune is one that will make anyone want to get up and move your body to the beat. And what better way to further celebrate the than by spinning up a mix? Los Angeles based DJ has been Djing for 11 years. Started mixing electro/house then got into Trance, he then really got into deep house/ bass house such as 'Night Bass & Anjunadeep'. Then one day he came across Drumcode which put him onto Techno he then started to explore more into Techno. During this pandemic he started to mix more Techno which he really enjoys! He can't wait to show everyone what he has to offer.... Give it up for DJ Gordo

As the sound of house and techno continues to dominate speakers around the world, a fresh crop of DJs and producers are looking to carve out their own space in the scene. One of those artists is Cespedes who is carrying some techno heaters in tow. While this Miami-based artist might be a new name to some, his roots run deep in the local rave scene as he's dived into the sound of the underground through the Ground Zero collective as well.

Amidst the pandemic last year, Cespedes kept lovers of the underground sound satiated with livestream performances on Twitch while also unveiling his single "Absence" to the masses. And he's continued that energy as shows have begun to make their return in 2021, having already played in support of artists such as Simon Doty and Cosmic Gate while also delivering "Dark Moon" with K!KO at the begging of the year. More recently, he left listeners stunned with his latest tune "Distance" which found a home among a flurry of techno tracks on Heist Mode Vol. 1 and was a true standout on the compilation.

To celebrate the release of his latest single in style, Cespedes looked to take listeners on a journey into the depths of his techno sound. He's spun up a mix that's filled with some serious stunners that include Chris Rubbra's "Control," Barbosa's "Android," and Chris Waldt's "Metal Cycles." Of course, he's injected the mix with some of his own releases as well such as the aforementioned "Absence" along with a flurry of IDs that have yet to be unveiled. 

While we patiently await the official release of those tunes there's no better place to get a taste of what's to come than by giving this mix a go. So listen to this techno trip from Cespedes and stay tuned for more to come from this rising star in the scene!
