Nanzhen Yang is a multiple-disciplinary artist and DJ based in Berlin and London.
She seeks comfort in chaos, combining her love of techno music with experimental soundscapes, exploring the space between romanticism and industrial textures. From hard grooves to dark, ritualistic rhythm, she established a deep connection to the crowd through well-curated selections. she paints the picture of an artist who's deeply passionate and skilled in creating memorable sonic experiences for the dance floors.

Her unique mixing approach has brought her sound to international recognition. The second release on Hypnotic Journeys brings together emerging Georgian producers and celebrated names from the global techno scene, weaving a story of tension, resistance, and transcendence.

Batumi-based newcomer Grenuy opens the compilation with a debut ambient piece that feels both intimate and expansive, a slow-burning meditation on space and emotion. His work is reimagined by Van Morph, a revered producer and founder of Khoros Records, who drives the track into deeper territory with an old-school, hypnotic groove.

NFNM (formerly Kapa), a young yet distinctive voice in the Tbilisi underground, delivers a piece of textural techno rich with movement and raw emotion. The journey concludes with a powerful remix by Tsott, founder of the forward-thinking Spira Records, whose deep and cerebral approach brings the compilation full circle.

“Friction” is a testament to Hypnotic Journeys’ ethos: uniting generations, sounds, and visions through hypnotic techno as a futurist statement.
