Salt thrown over shoulder, new shoes never laid upon,
the table that I write these lyrics on.

Every now and then I think maybe somethings changed,
but a kick between the legs tells me its the same old game.
I keep running at the gauntlet with me slippers on,
no traction to be had least I got this song.
