'Assorto nei silenzi
come un'erma collina,
lontano dai trambusti
urbani e dai suburbi;
ogni affanno è vaniloquio.
Il calore del meriggio 
arraffa le erte ripide
come l'onda cerula, arrembata,
s'appiglia ai massi del promontorio
che sporge nel mare.
Fra gli oleandri fiorisce
il richiamo della quiete
a rievocare l'ode all'aurora
delle allodole.
Odo un trepestio di fronde,
lo scricchiolare del terreno
che sereno era poc'anzi.
Rintano tra i mandorli e i ciliegi 
come un uccellino intimidito
per sfuggire alla mira
del vespro cacciatore.
Il bosco si fa lugubre e fosco
nell'attesa della notte
arcana ed acre.

Assorto Nei Silenzi (with Giuseppe Riccardo) [Music for Literature]

Edoardo Gastaldi, class 1998, is an Award-nominated Modern Classical and Post-Classical Music Composer based in Venice, Italy.
After several years of music studies, which provided him with formal training ranging from Classical piano to music theory, in the summer of 2021, he started publishing his compositions and productions.
The influence of 17th-19th century pianists and his passion for experimentation led his music to become an ever-evolving equilibrium among Modern Classical, Ambient, and Post-Rock Music.
The gloomy, distant harmonic sound layers are often held together and brightened by leading instruments such as the piano and guitars.

His creations are inspired by the sounds of contemporary artists such as Johan Söderqvist, Hammock, Tony Anderson, Leonard Petersen, Atli Örvarsson, Stephen Porter, Ronit Kirchman, Sigur Rós and Nils Frahm.
