This record is autobiographical in nature and chronicles everything that happened while living in Unit - E (my old apartment and a pun for Unity). Between family members passing away, my girlfriend of four years leaving, and a wide assortment of various other tragedies-- I hit rock bottom. All I did for a while was drink forties, watch the Houston Rockets, eat cheap pizza, and sleep. Just when all hope seemed lost, I met a group called Fifth Nation. They were booking a tour from Austin to Boston and invited me to tag along. 

I really thought that the Blue Ridge Mountains and rocking endless shows would fill the massive hole in my heart ... but only through experience was I able to see, this isn't how it works. Unit - E? Unity? It's not an apartment. It's not a relationship. It's not an underground hip hop community, an accomplishment, a slice of pizza, or a gorgeous view. It's something that's only found within yourself. I had to wander out to the mountains before I realized this. 2015 was a pivotal year for me. That was my first tour. In a lot of ways it saved me from myself.

So excuse the seriousness, but I didn't have a choice. Unit - E is an honest body of work detailing what I went through. Hope you dig it!
