As Selador reaches it’s 3rd birthday, co-founder Steve Parry makes his artist debut for the label with a track that’s set to elevate his status to the next level. 

Following up the recent success of his massive ‘Flippant’ track on Bedrock should not have been an easy task but Steve has effortlessly created another accomplished peak time anthem that has already sent tongues-a-wagging amongst the lucky few who’ve managed to get their hands on a copy. 

Whereas ‘Flippant’ was most definitely an ode to his love of authentic acid house, ‘Apricity’ shows off his melodic side with it’s arptastic lead synth doing most of the damage atop a pulsating bass and roof raising arrangement. 

On the remix front, Brazilian Techno Maestro, Victor Ruiz, Portuguese Tech House grandee, Joal and the latest house music poster boys, Ki Creighton & Makanan all out-do themselves making for a package so fierce, it registers on the richter scale.

Justin James is set to release a full remix package from his debut LP, 'Compile,' featuring remix contributions from an all-star line-up of techno heavyweights. This offering appropriately named Compile [revisited] includes twelve unique interpretations of Compile’s originals from visionaries such as Sudo, Raul Facio, Jorge Ciccioli, Elmar Strathe, Joop Junior, Sean Random, Nathan Jonson, Ataxia, Fer BR, Florian Frings, Click Box, and 4Yo4U.  

Released on refused. last year, James' first artist album titled 'Compile' ignited the sacred techno culture. The twelve hard hitting original productions demonstrated Justin's high regard within the realms of the underground music world. Premiere: Alex Stein - Zeit (André Winter Remix)

Berlin-based Michael Knop is the man behind the Distale moniker - a name that had fast become synonymous with pumping, emphatic house and techno. This three tracker for Oliver Huntemann's Senso Sounds label showcases exactly what Distale is about. 'Exe' is a moody tech house bomb with a huge drop towards the end, built up through tight drum programming and knack of controlling the space within the track. 'Control One' is a shade tougher, edging towards straight up techno. Its pure warehouse vibes - a sick rhythm track augmented with industrial, metallic percussive elements and rising stabs. 'Mindset' rounds off the trio - another slick and steely take on the dancefloor, slowly developing in to a drama filled cut perfect for the very late nights.
