J.Pool and Yemanjo have enjoyed a five-year friendship and frequently remix each other's music.  They celebrate this second collaborative release as a follow-up to last year's "Puerta Del Sol" on trndmsk.

Almanecer is a portal, a mystical metaphor for the concept of "Birth of the Soul", an awakening to consciousness through sound harmonies and frequencies on a very special journey. A treasure that will give endless beauty and peace to whoever takes the time to discover it. 

In a new collaboration between the creative energies of the great artist Mina Shanka, bringing a unique magic with her almost heavenly voice, plus the talented and eclectic producer Hajna, prolific creator of big releases for Cosmovision Records and more. Both artists from France with a passion for the sounds of global folklore and electronic music, today they come together again to sculpt a meaningful musical piece full of soul and love for music. 

The EP consists of 3 original songs which is enriched with 4 remixes full of musical synchrony that explore the most electronic sounds as well as the ideas most linked to Latin American folklore by figures such as DVNIEL, Manu Ela, Intiche and Atemporal.

This very unique trio of music, souls and minds, is Eduardo Castillo's new LIVE project. Eager to expand and build on his musical reach and scope, Eduardo, has brought these very talented friends and multi instrumental musicians together to explore the potential of each of their own immense talents, only to realize, when playing and listening as an ensemble, a very powerful force came alive. Since 1409, thousands of monks (of the three main monasteries of Drepung, Sera and Ganden) gathered for chanting prayers and performing religious rituals at the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa.

"The main purpose of the Great Prayer Festival is to pray for the long life of all the holy Gurus of all traditions, for the survival and spreading of the Dharma in the minds of all sentient beings, and for world peace. The communal prayers, offered with strong faith and devotion, help to overcome obstacles to peace and generate conducive conditions for everyone to live in harmony."

Inspired by our dear Bogdan (violin) born in Serbia and raised in a war torn country.  As I imagined his childhood , and the sounds of the terror, I also envision him playing this beautiful and haunting violin and singing, doing all he can to put war behind him and allowing peace to reign in the hearts of his people.  Bogdan, is not only a source of immeasurable inspiration for me, but also one of the most humble and real humans I have had the honor of knowing. Listen as he loses himself in his instrument and emotions, never however, losing the intensity of his intention.  to accompany him is the powerful voice of a gifted woman born to express herself through singing. I have had the honor of working with her several times and each time, she elevated any experience to new heights.  I feature Pasale Caristo on this piece. Eduardo Castillo’s music encompasses his depth in the study of the industry and influences stemming from a South American and European upbringing. His studies in music compositions, orchestration and opera provide him with a vast understanding of harmonies, dynamics, and musical textures. Eduardo uses a subtle ethnomusicologist’s approach to music. His record collection reads like a music history book. In fact, his eclecticism is quite enticing. Sounds of Jazz, Avant-Garde, Middle Eastern, South American, Afro-Cuban folk, Soul, Funk, and Electronic Minimalism, can be heard in his compositions, his singing, his dj sets, and his playing of instruments, whether in their pure from or intertwined with down, mid and up-tempo electronic treatments. Ultimately, simplicity is what Eduardo strives for. An effort is always made to have fresh, organic sound while inevitably providing touches of technological advances shaping music today, never overwhelming and always sophisticated and tasteful.

Eduardo's mission is to always become a storyteller from beginning to end. Every record he plays has a very important intention. The music in his selections does not just fill time, it weaves in and out with dynamic and texture. The music and his improvisational live shows are brush strokes on a canvas that once he's reached the end, will look like a world of realism and fantasy all in one. He's a master at layering the musical with the technical and the surreal with the real.

Eduardo always leaves an indelible mark with his style and impeccable understanding of his environment.
