I made this mix with day time/early evening grooves in mind. The sort of time when you can sit with a bevvy or a smoke and nod your head or get up on the dancefloor and shake your booty!

This mix is dedicated to the fallen, to my sister who's birthday is tomorrow September 19th. She was the reason I began my life in San Francisco and found my community. Also dedicated to our fallen Palestinian cousins, and every fallen friend. Intro features my favorite CharlestheFirst song and ends with Adiios who passed earlier this year. These two dear artists were as close as brothers, had such incredible influence and left us far too soon. I'm grateful for the memories I share with every person I wont see again. 

May we find peace in our hearts, may we find justice for oppression, may we resist the temptation of toxic habits that take us away from our purpose. I grieve what we have lost, and I live to honor their ongoing inspirations. My heart bleeds, my memories juggle, there is always so much more to create... #Voodoo Lounge Part 1 # - mixed By Funk2Mars (Tanz!Effekt)

Lushpod #54 is woven with death and beauty. Inspired by the beauty and warmth in Lake Tahoe, I returned home with a sad news of a good friend.  Andrew was pivotal in my early development as a DJ, as he was always keen to book me for his birthday parties.  His death, amidst an ecstasy of natural beauty, provided a contrast of feelings and emotions.  Ultimately, I wanted to record this Lushpod to honor his life, and I hope it brought a little bit of his spirit to this set.  LP54 features tracks from Kiasmos, John Summit, Sean Miller, Santarini, Monkey Safari, and Lovebirds.

I'm hard at work learning production in Ableton and I hope to release a track by the end of the year. Until then I will be mixing up some fire for you. I'll be posting mixes and mashups regularly. I use a Pioneer DJ controller and Serato to make my mixes. I also try to keep a lot of my mixes under 10 minutes due to SoundClouds algorithm.
