לזכרו של סמ"ר גל הרשקו ז"ל 💔

השיר "גל" הוא מסע של געגוע עמוק וכאב על אובדן, שנולד מתוך שיתוף פעולה בין ענת זיסוביץ חריט, בת קיבוץ יפתח, לבין הזמרת והמלחינה שירי גולן. את המילים כתבה ענת לזכרו של גל, לוחם אמיץ ואהוב, בן קיבוץ יפתח, שנפל במלחמת "חרבות ברזל."

במילים פשוטות, כל כך אנושיות, ענת נוגעת בלב הפתוח והכואב של כל מי שאיבד אדם קרוב – תחושת הריק שאי אפשר למלא, ההמתנה חסרת הסוף למי שלא יחזור, הגעגוע שמציף את הלב בכל גל וגל. "ואני שם עומדת, מצפה שתחזור... שגל אותך יביא, תיאסף אל חיקי... וביחד נשתוק, נאחז באין סוף." כל מילה בשיר נושאת את הכאב הלא-נגמר, את החלל שהותיר אחריו גל.

שירי, מוזיקאית וזמרת מרגישה זכות להעניק למילים האלה מנגינה וקול, מתוך אמונה שכוחם של מילים ומוזיקה יחד יכולים לגעת בלבבות רבים, לרפא ולחזק. השיר הזה מוקדש לכל מי שמכיר את הכאב הזה מקרוב ולכל מי שמחכה לשובם של אהובים.

Healing for the Middle East – The Ho'oponopono Mantra in Hebrew, Arabic, and English. Shira Golan, a soul singer and creator, an Israeli Jew, dedicates her musical work to the healing and inner and outer peace of the peoples of the Middle East. Shira presents the mantra in Hebrew, Arabic, and English with an original meditative melody, inviting everyone to engage in the work of healing and peace and with a plea to pray for an end to the wars in her region

Ed Vallance is a London-born musician and travel journalist (New York Times; Los Angeles Times; London Evening Standard) based in Los Angeles. Taking musical cues from classic British songwriters like Syd Barrett, Nick Drake and Ray Davies, his third solo record, Midairis set for release in June 2018.The album was made at Vibromonk Studios, Brooklyn, with a few overdubs recorded at the home studio of Detroit-born producer, Mark Ephraim (Neko Case, Dead Meadow). Most of the songs were written over the course of a particularly brutal English winter, in the run-upto the Brexit referendum and the US election. This may account for some of the pointedly gloomy lyrics. It may also have had an influence on the stark production – Austrian drummer, Hari Ganglberger’s Krautrock beats; Japanese bassist, Kato Hideki’s subtly insistent basslines; and Vallance’s double-tracked acoustic guitars, and echoey vocal harmonies. Like the monochrome English landscape that inspired it, Midairis sparse and darkly beautiful.  Over the course of ten years as a recording artist, Ed Vallance has won the hearts of a host of taste-makers, including KCRW's Mathieu Schreyer and BBC Radio's Gary Crowley. His last record, Volcano, received positive reviews from The New York Times, Q, NME, and Brooklyn Vegan
