july 16th

today is the birthday of someone near and dear to my heart. and i want to take this time to talk about her.

this person has been in my life for these past two years, yet it feels like i've known her since we were both kids. she knows me more than anyone else around me, i'm sure. and even though i've only known her for two years, i trust her and care for her with all of my heart. because she's genuinely amazing. she's sweet. she's funny. she's caring, supportive, precious, and so beautiful inside and out. i wouldn't trade the two years worth of memories we've created for the world.

you may know her for many things: you may know her as the girl who's gifted at taking photos as i've used her photos for some of my cover art. you may know her as the girl who loves to play on her guitar. you may know her as the girl who's obsessed with polaroids.

to me, i know her as cat - the love of my life. my light during my darkest moments. my yellow. my ray of sunshine. my home. My One In Seven Billion.

now i want to say this directly to cat: when trying to figure out what i could give to show you how much you mean to me, i decided i wanted to make a song for you. i was struggling for a while to make something, until i decided to go into my vault account. when searching through it, i found a wip that i knew i needed to make into a full song. and i'm really proud of it. it may be rough, yes, but that's how love is. it's raw, unpolished, and beautiful the way it is. and i hope you love it :)
