Contrary to popular belief, and what your ears may tell you, the songs posted on this blog were not recorded by Fleet Foxes, but rather one dude who impersonates Fleet Foxes using overdubbing and lots of reverb.

Ed Ward approaches music at a very young age through the piano and the guitar, instruments that he studied and immediately started using to compose his early songs. 
During the first years of secondary school, he wrote dozens of tunes and joined different rock bands as a singer and guitarist. At age 22, he began his solo career and started performing under the name of Ed Ward, accompanied by a new band. During a live concert in Rome, he was noticed by a young producer, Niko Cutugno, and was offered the opportunity to record his first three songs with the help of professional musicians and experts of the Italian music industry.
The style of these new tunes was fresh and original: To folk and blues grooves he began to combine resonances and melodies from pop music, while his band continued to grow with new and precious elements. Among these, the violin and the accordion, thanks to which the songs’ sound became more mature and took new, unexpected directions.
Thanks to his producer, Ed had the opportunity to move around and continue to perform in Italy and abroad: He travelled to England, France and Russia, where his music was welcomed with great warmth. It was at the end of this very intense live performing itinerary that Ed decided to record his first album: almost one year of work in the studio and the record came alive. On 14.04.2014 "Man Overboard” was released by RBL Music Italia, anticipated by two singles "Good Old Friends" and "Frankie Stop It”. The record was a perfect summary of the artist’s musical path and was immediately favorably received by the audience.

In summer 2014 Ed moved to Berlin, where he spent a few months playing on the streets. In the german capital, the songwriter found inspiration and collected ideas for a new work. Once back in Rome, Ed started recording his second album, “Tigers”, which was released in April 2016.
