When she thinks of home and him so far away
The miles she has roamed looking for a place to stay
When she thinks of him, a bug in their eye
There he stands alone against a red-filled sky
With bombs blasting, terror passing, refusing to give into fear
Times testing, nerves stretching, how could it happen here?

With babies in tow and him staying behind
With them she had to go, his face frozen in time
The land they are from, a many-tortured past
They can't let them come, and take it all back
With tanks rolling, children holding tight to their mothers’ hands
Hearts pounding, sirens sounding, it never was their plan

When they think of home and the wheat fields of gold
Their children may never know the beauty they did hold
When they think of home, the cherished hallowed ground
The words they never come, except a silent sound
With pain waiting, no debating to keep on the fight

Disappointments, part 1: Through the life.

I've launched this account (and my YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/edwardcortesmusic ) to spread some of the music I've composed, so all the music that I upload to this page is original and I am the "guilty" of it. 
I've composed in different genres, starting with classical music and also pop, rock, jazz, electronic, electro-acoustic, etc. Sorry if some of my tracks are long for these days ears, I begg you to try to be patient.
