Who we are? A collective of young, fly Jesus-lovers. We make music. We make art. Alternative soul food vendors.

Heavens Connection started out in 2006, brought together by a youth church leader who wanted to see the influence of hiphop in the church put to a more positive use. He put the word out and encouraged the youth in the church who were hiphop heads and loved to rap, sing and dance to join and use their God-given talents to glorify God and to inspire other youth to do the same. Since then, the group has grown not only in number but also in wisdom and talent. Heavens Connection is set to empower the youth of today with God's Word and light and also as the name implies to connect the world to heaven.

This fresh and creative website was launched in April 2013, creating a name that reflected what we were about was not easy and then, Cultured Ego was born! Our site is something for that artistic individual that is interested in a modern African alternative culture and experience, with a passion for African music and fashion portrayed in a more experimental approach. We believe in our continent and want to contribute to putting it on a global platform and share the more alternative culture.
