After nearly a decade of experimentation in electronic music, Leeds/London-based Kessie has developed a distinct sound. Being hard of hearing, Kessie’s relationship with audio is a physical and vibrational one, reflected in her thumping off-kilter selections and intricate mixing. After a 12-months which has seen her play at Fold, Open Ground, Berghain and many more of Europe’s respectable clubs, expect to see Kessie’s penchant for the raw and cathartic in a dark room near you soon.
For now, get lost in this 1 hour mix, where Kessie accelerates to peak time mode with the use of pounding basslines and playful grooves hoping to trip you up every now and again.

In January 1980, the British post-punk band Joy Division embarked on its first tour outside of England. During this tour, they also performed at Paradiso.

''From behind his turntable, Dirk Polak sees few pieces of equipment on stage that evening. ‘Set up on kitchen chairs, there was a row of small amplifiers. I wondered how that would sound.’ When Ian Curtis, guitarist Bernard Sumner, bassist Peter Hook, and drummer Stephen Morris come on stage shortly after, they appear remarkably unremarkable. Marc Tilli: ‘Neat, almost businesslike. A sweater with a shirt underneath and tidy pants. And all very pale.’ Ronald Linger: ‘Completely different from what we had seen up to that point. Even the roadies looked like office clerks, with neat haircuts and polished shoes.’ In the white light shining from below, Curtis dances in short, sharp bursts. Robbert Tilli: ‘He jumped back and forth, like a boxer with a punching bag hung too high. A bit strange, but also attractive. We all immediately started imitating his dance.''

Eelco’s taste in music has always been eclectic. He has been passionate about music from an early age, drawn to a wide range of sounds, from indie, rock, metal, jazz to hip-hop and drum & bass. But everything changed when he experienced his first AWAKENINGS techno party in Amsterdam over 20 years ago. That day, he had an epiphany! The pulsating energy, the hypnotic rhythms they were a calling.
From that moment on, he became addicted to the raw, driving force of Techno and Electro.
"The first time I stepped into a warehouse and FELT that hard bass, those hissing  sharp hi-hats, and the deep, hypnotic groove of proper Techno, I knew I had come home!"
Ever since then he wanted to share his unrelenting passion for TECHNO with the world!
