@tomarkay delivers the first release of @yakrasound with his Episodio One EP. It includes 3 original tracks and a remix by French producer Ringard . The two first tracks are highly influenced by the 90's House sound of New York with funky vocals on Episodio One while le Vilain has a deeper resonance. Zangief has a slightly different sound signature, bringing heavier groove and a faster BMP. Ringard enhanced this EP with a Dub treatment on Episodio One which adds a trip hop flavor to the track.

This was the moment by which everything might unravel. It was but a bitter nightmare yet there was no end in sight and sleep was far from the equation. Walking through the park he watched the world around him moving past in a distant haze, it was as if they weren't there and never had been. Holding onto his lovers hand he walked proudly forward in the hope that everything would be okay. "You know it's alright" is what she'd told him. "You know it's not real..." He didn't.

For its first 12’’ the Hannover-based label “Kein Rauch Ohne Feuer“ features @flood-music ’s debut “Alamogordo / The Optimist“. 
Besides being a grim musical response to the atomic age, the record delivers everything you need for your rave party: First, there’s “Alamogordo“ with its heavy, hard-hitting bass drums and synths that cut through flesh like barbed wire. The promising opener is then followed by “The Optimist“, a track that slowly morphs from shadowy breakbeats into some serious trance euphoria.
On the B-Side, Fear-E provides “Alamogordo“ with the high energy 909-foundation that we all know and love from the Glasgow-based producer and his releases on “Dixon Avenue Basement Jams“. Bremen’s Ray Monero finally closes the whole thing down with his “Pessimistic Future Remix“, a surprising take on “The Optimist“ that combines heavy
breaks with spaced out pads.

And the Black Loops phenomenon continues… Fresh from a whole slew of killer releases this year on the likes of Happiness Therapy, Neovinyl, Madhouse and Smile & Stay High, the Berlin-based Italian return to Pets with this almighty four-piece that runs their entire groove gamut. 
The long-awaited follow-up to their evergreen ‘For The Lovers’ EP in 2017, once again they not only tick every box but tickle every inch of your music-addicted soul. Easing us in gently with a little cosmic UKG, ‘Gwei Lo’ is a two-step teaser with all the magic we’ve come to know and love Black Loops for. Deeper again we rifle through the styles like 12”s in a dusty crate… ‘Unity’ keeps the garage theme but with much more of New York or New Jersey style vibe, especially in those epically thudding kicks. ‘Keep A Secret’ is just beautiful deepness with shades of Europe and the West Coast. Somewhere between Ian Pooley and Hipp-E & Halo in a state of perpetual sunset. 
Last but not least, we hit ‘Born In The 80s’. Don’t be fooled by the title, this ain’t no nostalgic throwback; it’s another timeless slab of deep house heaven where the era is referenced beautifully in the gentle, dreamy but insistent melody that folds and pleats so majestically over the top, it’s one of those tunes that really does make you forget where you are and what era you’re in.
