Ash Walker Celebrates 10 Years with Deep Heads on New Album ‘Deep Heads X Ash Walker: The Lost Dubs’

Ash Walker returns to Deep Heads to mark a decade since his debut with the label, delivering a special new album, Deep Heads X Ash Walker: The Lost Dubs.

His journey with Deep Heads began in November 2015 with Augmented 7th, his first studio album that introduced the world to his exceptional sonic craft. He followed this with Echo Chamber, a groundbreaking release that seamlessly blended Jazz, Electronic, and Hip-hop influences, establishing him as a unique musical artist with his masterful recordings presented on Deep Heads.

After these releases, Ash caught the attention of Night Time Stories (a sister label to Late Night Tales), known for releasing Khruangbin among other reputable artists. The label released two of Ash’s albums, expanding his reach to a different audience. Collaborations on these projects included luminaries such as Lamb’s Lou Rhodes, Joe Armon-Jones (MOBO and Brit Award winner), Oscar Jerome, and Yazz Ahmed. The albums also featured remixes by renowned artists like the Dub King, Scientist and Grammy nominated Ron Trent.

Recently, Ash expanded his creative palette with Jaywalk and The Cadillacs, a collaborative project with Illa J (brother of J Dilla), introducing his sound to new listeners and further elevating his profile.

His track ‘Bongo Legs’ gained mainstream exposure when Google selected it to showcase the AI capabilities of the Google Pixel 10 smartphone. The track has since amassed nearly 2 million streams on Spotify.

Now, Ash Walker strips things back to basics with The Lost Dubs, a fully instrumental album steeped in soul and rich improvisational jazz. Featuring performances from stellar musicians such as Marc Cyril on bass (‘Filtergrits’) and Yazz Ahmed (‘3Ft.Above’), the album delivers gritty yet relaxed grooves blending Downtempo, Electronic, Jazz, and Hip-hop vibes.

Standout tracks like ‘Herbivore’ and ‘Filtergrits’ highlight Ash’s masterful production and evocative soundscapes. Throughout, the album maintains a downtempo, soul-nourishing atmosphere—perfectly capturing the essence of this talented London producer’s artistry.
