A surefire provider in Amsterdam’s well-furnished techno community, Hitam has been making a name for himself with some choice platters for the likes of SYXT, Hayes and Room Trax over the last couple of years. Championing a sound as ebulliently driving as it invites us to dip our toes into further hazy sonic grounds, the Dutch producer swings the pendulum betwixt racing 909-fuelled horsepower and more subdued, fearsome climates. As ever clinical in his approach and deadly in his execution, Hitam has us tripping out to a hefty-handed two hours of relentless tech rage and hypnotic sound design laced into one smouldering hodgepodge of whelming, non-stop gusty sonics. Kicking off full speed comes an hour of untrammelled techno from Belgian artist Phara. The Fuse Brussels resident has racked up quite a following with his club focused sound, both via slick releases as much as behind decks spinning vinyl-only sets. Post-punk, wave, EBM, electro, Detroit and Berlin provide the context for a curious talent that has published warped melodies on blue chip labels like Soma, SK Eleven, Stockholm LTD and Planet Rhythm. His off kilter earmark is available too via his ‘gimmick-free’ record label Phaaar, a more immediate and personal vessel for his own experiments in sound. And it’s not all off the shelf, 2022 saw him take his Korg EMX-1 onstage for a debut live performance that presents yet another side to his many-layered craft, and a new alias titled In Glass promises to reimagine both house and dubbier references. With bated breath comes this next instalment, powerful beats from the get go, tracks with striking forward momentum interwoven with atomic precision and a primary feeling for ambiance that doesn’t miss a trick. Phara taps a wealth of experience and knowledge of records for Bassiani Podcast 222, shadowy frequencies and volative basslines, everything you love about techno brought together by this prolific and multifaceted artist.

A favorite of the NY underground, Federico holds a reputation both for his comprehensive knowledge of techno's most obscure corners and for his capacity to channel his sprawling collection into DJ sets of exceptional poise and vibrancy. Raised in Pennsylvania, an early fascination with software production led him from live music into an obsession with track building and the limitless possibilities of electronic music. In 2020, he launched @90stechno.redux, an online platform that catalogues some of the finest, and often nearly-unheard, examples of the genre's golden age. Drawing heavily on the Detroit-Berlin axis, Federico exemplifies the focus and discernment of a purist, engaging with techno both as a true art form and as a near-spiritual discipline.
