Damian Lazarus presents ‘Mountain’ - the opening single from his first solo album for over 10 years.

Released on the 24th July, ‘Mountain’ is a fusion of darkness and light circumnavigating the outer edges of the dance floor. Complete with a Balearic infused remix from Tornado Wallace and deep-chugging transcendental Tibi Dabo Remix to throw the arc wider still. This new body of work, written and recorded by Lazarus at home in Italy during lockdown, is entitled ‘Flourish” and will be released on the 4th September on Crosstown Rebels.

Damian Lazarus - Mountain (Original Mix)

EevilTwynne has been composing and producing an eclectic mix of electronic music out of the Steel City of Sheffield for a number of years. With a huge passion for and interest in music, his influences range from Bonobo to Howlin Wolf. Hints of these artists often find their way into EevilTwynne's compositions, however live instrumentation (he plays guitar, synths, bass and provides vocals) is key in expressing himself with the music. The songs are often dark in tone, but with glimpses of warmth, light and energy that provide a counterpoint to the subject matter. A drum machine often provides an anchor for the music, but dreamy, hypnotic chords and synth lines are never far away. Artists such as Jon Hopkins, Olafur Arnalds, Bonobo and FourTet are inspirations for these songs.

EevilTwynne's music has garnered support from BBC Introducing with plays from Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 (FTR) and Christian Carlisle at BBC Introducing Sheffield (Black Dog, Tenba), and has been featured on blogs such as Fresh on the Net (Left In) and Indie Shuffle (Within & Without).
