Albert Breaker reflects on what was by his own admission a difficult upbringing, with the doom-laden ‘Childhood’. Atmospheric in its despair as driving synths simmer from beneath the surface, Italy's Breaker, Doorn, Dirty Dutch, and Brohouse releases also on his CV, pairs grimy rap lyrics rising from the corner of the club with thudding beats that somehow stay lean and flexible. You find the ricocheting percussion playing tricks with your ears, and the overall gloom won’t stop you from throwing your hands up.
