Blackbird  - Classic Mode

Okay, just one more RUSH cover! The Blackbird is in ‘Classic’ mode with the ‘Drive’ knob set low at about 10 o’clock and the ‘Bias’ switch is in the center position (12AU7 biasing), which is hot biasing the 12AX7 tube for a softer, warmer drive tone.

Kid Gloves (Lifeson)

Fender 'Precision' bass recorded direct through the clean channel of the Blackbird preamp. The strings are getting tired but the Blackbird is helping perk them up a little. Some Valhalla Room VST reverb was added post recording (5%). Finger clicks were recorded using an ADK A-51TC tube condenser microphone and ambient vocal reverb was added using Kjaerhus Reverb VST plugin.
