Effron is a Kerrville (TX) Folk Festival "New Folk" winner, along with Americana music luminaries such as Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams, & Nanci Griffith. White has a featured story in American Songwriter Magazine about his signature, award-winning song, “Long Haul”. He is a winner at several festivals including Merlefest, Woody Guthrie Folk Festival, The Ozark Folk Festival, The Walnut Valley Festival, and is a NW Arkansas Music Awards Hall of Fame artist. Two of his songs, “Big Blue Tears” and “Goin' Loco Bein' Local,” have been included in the newly released film, “Samland”, available now on all streaming platforms.

Originally from Fayetteville, Arkansas, he attended the University of Arkansas where he graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree. White moved to Nashville in 2014. where White was chosen as the 2019 "Best of the Best" Singer/Songwriter" by Nashville Ear. Other notable winners are songwriter/artists such as Ashley McBryde ("Girl Going Nowhere"), Chris Gantry ("Dreams of the Everyday Housewife"), and Wood Newton ("Riding with Private Malone”). 

White's own "Long Haul" was recorded by Minnesota artist, Charlie Roth on his "Broken Ground" album. Roth toured Europe and the UK where Roth's version of Long Haul was played extensively on the BBC.
