These days, I have nothing to sing about. So I end up just sitting down and talking though the guitar. This is a one-take improvised session with guitar and loops and no tricks. Reminiscent of the instrumental side project "The Smallest Bones" that I came up with back in 2010. I hope you'll like it!

A brand new song, so new that it has neither title nor anything yet...
but yeah, I was jamming with banjo and microkorg and this came out.
It's a live loop-recording, meaning: I just had my phone next to the amp to record. So please excuse that it's not very round at all yet (and you can hear the footswitch of the pedal).

We celebrated the release of my new EP "SUN" on Nov 17th at Lovelite in Berlin. These are the recordings of the performance.

You'll see that one track of the EP is missing, therefore there are some that aren't recorded yet - super new material of new stuff to come... ; )

For "The Sound" and "Bicycle Bell", Nicky aka. Caught in the White Summer Hotel joined me on electric guitar. My dear Karla Stereochemistry was so kind to record it.

In 2009 - gosh, that's 9 years ago now! - I made a special birthday present for my sister, who had introduced me to The Cranberries when I was 13. As a thank you. As a bit of a "Look, this is where your musical influence got me!" My only rule for the recordings was not to use a guitar.

Nine years later I'm a little embarrassed by the recording quality (I knew nothing about recording and mixing back then), but I still wanted to post it, as early-20s-Julia's tribute to Dolores O'Rioardan - I'm actually really sad she's gone, but even happier that she was there...

A Smile - Slab City Session

Sam is taking care of Salvation Mountain in Slab City. But he also has a tape recording project, collecting songs from the local artists.

Neil Mallick aka. The Sixth Son and I went and had a little recording session at night at the foot of the mountain, while in the distance the crickets chirped and the army tested their missiles.
Blank is a tune about a camp fire in Slab City, written and recorded two years ago, on a 12 string guitar up in the Bay Area. Now that I was back in the Slabs and Neil had his 12 string with him, the circle seems closed. And I am proud to be part of the Slab City allstars mixtape.
