Song for Zula

 In the summer of 2015, I was inspired to write and record some new original songs. I’m a lifelong musician and a multi-instrumentalist but writing is not usually my strength. Friends were busy with their own projects so I made the decision to go it alone. I found it enjoyable to record tracks in my home STUDio. I have some guest musicians on various tracks. The trick for me is to write lyrics, otherwise my songs are doomed to be instrumentals. I know that I’m not the highest quality vocalist and there are many flubs throughout this project. However, it is sincere and honest. I wrote all but one song, thanks Peter Gabriel for that but it was the most difficult. This is also the first time I’ve recorded my own drum tracks; I’m an amateur on drums for sure but it’s easier for me to do it than to explain to anyone else. Thanks for listening with an open mind. I hope you enjoy it.

I arrived in Los Angeles in 1989 where I become bi-costal traveling between Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco working in the Film and Music Industry. Dancing in the Sound Factory, End-Up, Ice Factory, Mayan, Orbit, the Cat Club and the underground of LA. I threw undergrounds in downtown Los Angeles and ran a legal warehouse for four years. This is my beginning. It will never end.
