Probably the cleanest performance I've had of this... which says a lot. Glad to have recorded it, but still a bit disappointed overall, especially with the piano settings used. Also, sounds very flat due to me being an idiot and recording the output in mono... and then discarding the midi because I couldn't be bothered to find my memory stick... Is this where the millennials say "fml"?

Recording with correct chords this time... aside from one... see if you can spot it! Also a bit weird on the timing and a heavy keypress or two appears to have auto-compressed itself. All in all, not happy (as usual) but it'll do (as usual).

Special thanks to Arista for introducing me to this song! So many variants and interpretations across so many instruments, I thought I would add mine to the pile.

A couple of small mistakes as ever, but definitely a fluke compared to usual performance quality.

Went back and listened to the original reference performance a bunch, and had some inspiration to re-record this piece. Still one of my absolute favourites, one day I hope to really be able to do it justice

***DISCLAIMER*** This session was set up for a friend, I just stole some time on the piano to do one take of a few pieces! Not happy with playing quality in most of these.

Anyway, the setup was an old (1899 kinda old) Steinway baby grand in my friend Pete's living room, a Steinberg UR-RT4 interface and two AT2020 mics. EQ and mild post-pro performed by Pete Flint.
