Neu!, Kraftwerk, Cluster, Harmonia (and anything involving the talents of messrs Dinger, Rother, Moebius, Roedelius, Plank et al), La Dusseldorf, Faust, DAF, Der Plan, Tangarine Dream and other German music of that era; Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Terry Riley, Vangelis, Tomita, Karl Jenkins;  jazz and boogie woogie, cajun music, Russian Balalaika and Eastern European gypsy music; the heady period of DIY that Punk started;  that great period of late 70s and early 80s electronica (including The Normal, Cabaret Voltaire, Human League, OMD, Depeche Mode, Ultravox, Chrome, Fad Gadget, Visage, Suicide, Tuxedomoon etc etc); Contemporary electronic music from artists like Goldfrapp, Komputer and Fujiya & Miyagi, The Knife, Sigur Ros etc; Industrial or experimental music by the likes of Coil, Throbbing Gristle, PTV, Front Line Assembly, Front 242, Nurse with Wound, Residents, as well as the early electronic pioneers like The Art Bears, Tomita, Wendy Carlos, BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Silver Apples, Tonto's Expanding Headband, White Noise; and not forgetting those classics: Mozart, Beethoven, J S Bach and other composers.

Thirsty Records is proud to announce the release of the fresh new album, “PROGRESS IS A GNARLY CLOWN” from EGO ALIEN.

EGO ALIEN released their debut EP “CRAWL ON THE EDGE” in January of 2014 and eponymous “EGO ALIEN” EP in March of 2015.

Coming off of a wildly successful CD release show the band is looking forward to a successful 2017 playing shows on the East Coast.

As main man for EGO ALIEN TED BUNCH is a vicious supporter of the Philadelphia/South Jersey original music scene, and can be found at various area clubs on either side of the Delaware River, on any given night. Ted can also be heard supporting the local scene on his weekly radio broadcast, THIRSTY RECORDS ON GASHOUSE RADIO.

Chris Kusmanick plays monster grooves on a fret less five string bass and The Drummer’s high energy and hard driving edge completes the heavy melodic power trio.

We are and indie/indie with distribution via Sony. Looking for new things and back catalogue.
