A tag team duo locally sourced from Columbus, Ohio, foi oi oi and What the Bleep are two selectors spicing up the dance.  With their roots marinated in the jungle, their flavor includes a spread of multi-cultural bass-heavy genres. They energetically work turntables while rapidly adventuring through a palette of sounds. The menu today includes a cornucopia of rhythm— bass notes smoked slow and low until tender, a side of chopped breakbeats curried with an herb garnish, finished off with rich vocals. The aim of the "foibleep experience" is to serve a full-bodied blend of organic beats and positive vibes by using only the finest ingredients.

Since 2004, foi oi oi and What the Bleep have jointly attended Movement (aka the Detroit Electronic Music Festival), spreading their music as "brothers". In honor of that tradition, they annually release the groundbreaking mixtape “Feelings for Detroit”, a mix widely-popular for its multiplicity of sounds and technical mixing. The mix has become the duo’s most treasured creation, from the fluid "Top Mix of 2012" (RaggaJungle.biz) Volume 6: Water Sound to the 54-track dancefloor-focused Volume 7: Conquering Dandelion to Volume 8: Under Mi Sensei in a kung-fu style.

The story begins with two children hammering away at a xylophone in an open field, creating their orchestral masterpiece. The longest running D&B DJ in the USA and founder of Big Riddim Recordings, Dave AK1200, has been a driving force within Drum and Bass culture in America since its inception. From his legendary mix CD's to his extensive list of high profile remixes and original tunes, he has maintained a presence within the industry for more than 20 years. For lack of a better term, AK is a "classically" trained DJ. He is known for his abrupt style of live mixing and spontaneously programming groups of tunes into unforgettably raw sets. 

AK’s dedication and devotion to drum and bass culture in and for the USA are unparalleled. He is a constant voice for the scene, and has spent the majority of his career helping to develop and establish new or unsigned DnB artists, particularly American. In 2000, he united with his long time friends and biggest competition, Dieselboy and DJ Dara to create Planet of the Drums with the collective goal of bringing drum and bass music to the main stage in America. Alongside Messinian on the microphone, the Planet of the Drums crew has become the most recognizable brand in the history of American drum and bass music.

AK has also closely worked with American DnB’s most decorated and prolific producer, Gridlok. In 2008, they released the highly acclaimed Autopsy double album. Immediately following that, they came with “Dub 4 Dub”, a tune described by Goldie as one that “should have come out on Metalheadz”. Most recently, they have created the DNBSTRONG tour campaign. Originally a phrase coined by AK to describe the growing enthusiasm amongst like-minded artists and fans of homegrown DnB and the culture itself, DNBSTRONG became a statement for all to once again rise up collectively and bring attention to the music and scene they proudly represent. 

As we enter the post-EDM era, and newer music forms begin to take root and grow steadily into their own legacy, DnB culture continues to lead the way as a benchmark of true underground music with great confidence. With continuously standard setting tunes to the die-hard fans, this music is quickly becoming the next target for the masses that seek the one true sound they can commit to. AK1200, with his explosive sets and constant cheerleading for the DnB community, continues to encourage and inspire new and old fans, DJ’s, and artists alike. When it comes to change, you either get on board or get left behind. No one knows this more than MING. Flipping the script is second nature to this New Yorker. In a city with an ever-changing soundscape, MING remains versatile and adept: essentially a way of life for the producer, songwriter, remixer, DJ, and musician.
In the mid-90s, he was one-half of the pioneering electronic duo MING+FS. Playing guitar, bass, keyboard, and turntables, MING toured the world and gave international audiences an introduction to electronic music, opening up for acts like Sting, RUN-DMC, and Moby.
Over the last decade, MING has pulled the studio more into focus, while still keeping a hand in the touring life. He remixed singles for a star-studded lineup including Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ellie Goulding, and Black Eyed Peas. His original tracks climbed the charts, scoring four Top 40 trap remixes on Beatport. Collaborations on singles like “Disintegration” from Le Castle Vania for deadmau5’s Mau5trap label and “King Kong” for Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records staked claim on dancefloors worldwide. MING received a Grammy nomination in 2014 for the remix of Crossfingers’ “Falling Out” (featuring Danny Losito).
No doubt you’ve heard MING at the club or festival, but his work continues to percolate elsewhere. Habitat Music—MING’s music production company—supplies original music to the advertising, film, and television industries. Some of his work has been featured on TV shows such as CBS’s “CSI: Miami” and “CSI: NY,” HBO’s “Sex and the City,” and Showtime’s “Weeds.” Brands like Sears, Nissan, Chevy, Burger King, Nokia, AT&T and Doritos have also leveraged MING’s cutting-edge sound for their global advertising campaigns.
MING continues to break through in 2016: MING Presents Warmth, which will solely focus on house music, can be heard on Dash Radio, the Main Stage channel of dl.fm, and Future.fm and his mixes now appear on Music Choice, America’s premier music and video on demand provider. Each month, listeners will hear new releases and remixes on the Hood Famous Music label, plus club dates updated on the regular.
