They have already dropped an impressive half dozen remixes on Techgnosis thus far, and this rendition of 'Blueshift' is testament to their progress as artists. Exceptionally well-crafted progressive techno crossover is the name of the game here - tuned for maximum dance floor efficacy. Bayawaka is an artist name of Golan Aflalo, originally from Jerusalem, presently living in Berlin. Initially, Golan was all about Broken Beats, PsyBass, Breaks and Chillout, but in the last few years he branched out to four-on-the-floor genres which he DJ’s under the name Golanski.

Since the early 2017 Golan is also a co-managing Digital Structures’s Berlin branch, and this following xXETEXx Vol. 02 is his take on the world of Psychedelic Tech - hand picked, road tested, grass fed and organic voyage into the diversity of dance floor sound. The bushfires that ravaged our home of Australia between September 2019 - February 2020 are one of the most savage and disastrous natural events that the country has ever known.

Over 25.5 million hectares of land were burnt (110,000+ square kilometres), 3000+ homes destroyed, 30 people and more than 1 billion mammals, birds and reptiles died.

100% of the proceeds from each sale of Bushfire Aid VA Series Part 1 and Part 2 will officially go directly to the Australian Wildlife Conservency’s Bushfire Response Campaign, as they work tirelessly in the field to protect numerous species of animals that are now endangered and threatened due to the bushfire season disaster of 2019/20.

Upon donating, aside from the music you will also receive a pdf file from AWC themselves with specifics on the Bushfire Response Campaign that you will be supporting with your donation.

Not one of us is unaffected by this disaster, be it directly, emotionally or chord struck within our soul.

Everyone involved in this release has donated their time and skills to this cause. Deadtime stories is the latest creation from Italian producer Egomorph. It continues in his trademark style telling dark and twisted stories inspired by horror movies with a psytech beat. His penchant for horror themes and dark atmosphere is prevalent in all of his music and most of his tracks are shaped and morphed from these origins. He finds the dark atmospheres he gravitates toward to create a balance between seductive and aggressive in the musical textures and melodies in his music. 

With this release, Egomorph was looking to focus on a more trendy modern minimal tech sound. He used more Moog synth sounds and less of his signature squelches/stabs but maintained his usual arrangement patterns. The EP is composed of two original tracks and five remixes. 

Out of the two original tracks, Biolapsus is more complex and dynamic, especially on the moody groove; where Deadtime Stories is more linear and melodic, with a strong kick and bassline. The remixers on the release include Electrypnose (Switzerland), Trilingo (Germany), Myad (USA), Zandre Van Zyl (South Africa), and Shadow Wulf label-boss Crescendoll.
