‘That Old Fling’ flings open the doors and welcomes us all warmly. Big samples with even bigger disco feels, it sets the agenda and tells us all types of behaviour are welcome in the house of Rufus. 
Elsewhere we’re all looped up and strung out by the filtered finesse of ‘Niagara St Grooving’, we’re slapped and tickled from here to disco town with the wonderful struts and swaggers of ‘Take One’ while ‘Traffic Daze’ takes us home with a dream sunset mess. Slow but hazy. Now that’s what we call horny.

As its name indicates, 'I Love Music' is an ode to groovy and dancing beats by the German house music producer Damian Rausch. Having been playlisted on playlists such as ‘Deep House Relax’, ‘Deephouse Delight’ or ‘Lo-Fi House’ on Spotify, the artist has managed to garner millions of streams. Inspired by house music from the 1990s, his new single is quite reminiscent of songs such as 'Show Me Love' or 'Gypsy Woman', making it a slow-burner that sounds perfect for parties or house music playlists.

Six years after delivering his debut album - a digital-only affair called TruSkool - Demuir has finally got round to recording a follow-up. The Toronto native's brand of house is chunky, groovy, deep and funky, taking cues not only from previous collaborators such as DJ Sneak, but also those of his contemporaries that make great use of dusty samples and killer drum programming. As a result, Visions manages to work both as a collection of club-focused cuts and an album you can listen to repeatedly from start to finish. Our picks of a pleasingly strong bunch include the fluid, disco-tinged, Hipnotic-sampling brilliance of 'Mind, Body & Soul Call Me', TUSH hook-up 'Skylar' (a superb slab of gospel-tinged soulful house) and the delicious Fred P collaboration 'Dream (Part II)'.

DJ Eddie Fowlkes created the techno genre alongside Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson. Now the 'Godfather of Techno Soul' uses his extensive knowledge and experience to create dynamic dance music with a house EP drenched in Motor City inspiration. This two-track release is both a love letter to his musical roots and an inspired representation of the left-of-centre house that Classic is known for. For the lead track on this release, 'AHYEE', Eddie carves out his own sound in a low growl as distorted percussion whirs over a four-on-the-floor beat. 'Blow' goes tougher, with an undulating bass that adds a wonky unease to the rhythmic kick and syncopated decoration. Coming from producing some of the first techno records nearly 40 years ago, unique releases like this continue to prove Fowlkes' status as a constant innovator.

We started ‘The Classic Series’ featuring tracks that we love, bought, played out and which we have the feeling more people should know about them. 

For this fourth release, It is a great honor for us to welcome such a living legend, a pioneer from the Chicago house & techno scene : Roy Davis Jr. This project includes three very rare cuts and timeless moments of deep Chicago house. 

On A side : ‘I’m Tha D.J.’, released in 1995 on Kumba Records + ‘Under Tha Sun’, released in 1995 on Downtown 161. On B side : Modal (Woody McBride & David Stevens) ‘Lovers’ remixed by Roy Davis Jr. & Dj Skull. A massive, rare, and very demand track, previously released in 1996 on Sounds (subdivision of Communiqué). Our favorite secret weapons, a real masterpiece of deep tech Chicago sounds. Enjoy !
