“This was my first gig after quite a long break so I’d been stockpiling my favourite tunes from the last few months, and there were so many that I was desperate to try out, things like the Crackazat tracks, Radio Slave, Santos, Maps and so on. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking playing again after having time off (for me anyway), and Buenos Aires is always such an important and special place to me, but once in that room with that amazing crowd, I immediately felt like I hadn’t been away. I have to credit Anhauser for the way they opened the room, leaving me space to start my set as deep as I wanted – it’s such an important role and they set the mood perfectly. It was a five-hour set but honestly, I wish it could have carried on, I was having such an incredible time. And I can’t wait to return.”

Dave Seaman & Anthony Pappa - When We Dip 155 (Live @ Stereo Montreal)

Budakid has been making moves.

The Berlin based producer has become a staple of the underground House music circuit having released a number of records and music on the likes of Exploited, Last Night On Earth and Anjunadeep amongst many others. His output is prolific and that has been reflected by his warm reception into clubland having performed internationally.

From a young age Budakid was influenced and driven by music and creative pursuits. His Indonesian background lead him to the drums as a fifteen year old before he moved into the realm of music production and dj'ing.

His sound is rooted in atmospheric House music, deep moving pads and energetic synths create delicate soundscapes across playful percussion. It's always focussed on the dancefloor, the groove and repetition being very much important and at the forefront of proceedings.

This mix showcases his ability as a DJ and helps to define his approach to the genre.

Budakid: The Ransom Note Mix

This is a large portion of my 12 hour set at Stereo Montreal on September 28, 2024, my longest solo set ever. Missing are the first 2 hours, which I cut for better overall flow, as well as the last hour, which was not recorded as my recorder ran out of battery power.

To me, Stereo represents the absolute top of electronic music clubs worldwide. It is one of the few places that gives DJs the canvas to play long sets under near optimal conditions - an amazing sound system, great monitors, beautiful and subtle lighting and - last but not least - a knowledgeable, demanding and unified crowd.
