Argentinian DJ Blixa comes through with a power hour session filled with Latin American flavour for podcast 137, capturing his post-rave high. 

Speaking about the mix Blixa says, "filled with 100% LATAM ingredients this mix was recorded in the early hours of a Saturday morning for those who like mushrooms in their salad."

Based in London, Blixa is a producer and promoter who co-founded the Polar Dance series and is a resident on community radio station 1020. With his feet firmly planted within the London DIY community, he works behind the scenes for The Cause and is a graphic designer within the music industry doing the graphics for the likes of Metalheadz and Irish label Woozy. Last year, he released his debut EP on Argentinian label Vista Recordings which was supported by Inverted Audio. Definitely one to keep your eyes on!

"I haven’t put out a mix in a really long time, and this is the first mix under the rebranded sound. I’ve been playing bass-driven music for longer than I’ve been making it, but this is the first mix exclusively [dedicated] to it. It felt amazing; it was so fun to put together.

I wanted to execute a feeling of a loss of control, as if descending into an abyss-like place and being spat out the other side, using club music that explores the sub-realms. Musically, this mix truly represents where I'm at right now, particularly with my DJing."
